This is a platforming pinball game. sounds weird right? Well it is but somehow it really works! The game is a bit slow at times but it was a genuine joy to explore the island, find the collectibles, and unravel mysteries all while mixing in some pinball & puzzle mechanics. Highly recommended!

Yoku's Island express is a 2D platformer title based around pinball physics. Yes, you read that correctly. Admittedly enough this concept works really well. That and the game has a great story and a fun soundtrack to boot. Give Yoku's Island a try, it's unexpectedly fun and enjoyable. (I bought this title on multiple platforms and am reusing the review that I wrote for the Nintendo Switch version.)

If you like metroidvania type games and you enjoy pinball this is a game you should play. This is a very charming game with great game play mechanics and level design that work well in a pinball structure. A very fun adventure.

Yoku Rocks! This is one tough dung beetle that he zig zags across a Metroid styled map in pinball, puzzler, and platformer fashion. It’s simple looking although deceptively challenging regarding collecting items in order to unlock sections and acquire access as well. It has Pikmin flair, maybe a drunk Sonic, and Metroid vibes of traveling the charismatic island. Kids might get frustrated at this due to the thinking required to reach areas or complete favors for such characters. It’s an original game for the PS4 and well worth the money!

Wasn't expecting much from this game but overall its a good timewaster. For the price I paid on clearance its a neat little platformer/pinball game. Similar to Sonic Spinball but with less jank. Put a few good afternoons into this game when I didnt want to sink time into bigger more time consuming games.

This game is definitely a unique one. Its a platformer game mixed with pinball. Super fun as you travel to and explore different areas. If a platinum trophy is what you desire, then some skill is required as you have to time specific jumps. Got this game on sale for $5.99, and Is a must buy at that price.

Don't be fooled by the cartoonish cover. This is a fun pinball-puzzler-platformer with a Metroidvania feel. Yeah, it has a lot going on, it's absolutely charming and and joy to play. Buy this and play it, especially if you get it on sale. It's totally worth it.

Plain and simple, this is just a good, lighthearted fun game. The pinball mechanics are simple but satisfying to master and it keeps the gameplay fresh. This is a great game for adults and kids, with both me and my son enjoying it thoroughly.
