Customers enjoy the beautiful graphics and engaging gameplay of Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles, frequently praising its open world and the freedom to explore eight diverse biomes. Many appreciate the relaxing nature of the game and its resemblance to other popular exploration titles. However, a significant drawback for some is the complete lack of combat.

Yonder is a great game to kick back and explore!

My wife and I love playing open-world games where you can freely explore the environment (Breath of the Wild) so when our friends recommended that we try Yonder, we couldn't pass it up (it was also on clearance and we have the GCU so the price was incredible)
Yonder has no combat in it. Instead, you are exploring the world as you see fit, farming, completing quests for villagers you encounter and crafting recipes. You can get pets, change your outfit and mine for materials all over the landscape.
So far we are about 5 hours into the game and have come across some absolutely beautiful worlds. The lighting in the game in particular is nice, although it can get very bright from the sun (you can luckily adjust your Gamma and Bloom settings in the menu).
I've read that the game gets repetitive but we have yet to hit that point. Instead, I found myself saying "one more quest" and spending hours just completing quests and trying to uncover all of the secrets of the land.
If you are looking for a game that you can play and relax with, this is one for you. Imagine Breath of the Wild (which Yonder is influenced by for sure) but without the combat and you have Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles.

This game is absolutely amazing! The story is fun and easy to follow. The game play is easy going, great for relaxing evenings. You play at your own pace. The best part about this game is the face there was no fighting, you get to roam the world at anytime during the day and just enjoy collecting materials, completing quests and tending to few farms. Defiantly recommend if you love farming, exploring, easy going games.

This game is not for everyone. Slow paced, no combat, just doing small quests for the inhabitants of the game world.
A pretty game with great light and shadow effects. Nice music and sound. Easy to control.
If you like games like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley you'll probably enjoy this.

The style of the game is very cute, which suits the atmosphere perfectly. It's relaxing in many ways. I do wish there were more ways to move around the map. There isn't really a sense of urgency. Nor is there any combat in this game. It's definitely a game where you can kick back, relax, and just explore a little, colorful world.

In my opinion this game is an excellent mix of Breath of the wild and almost any harvest moon type game. The exploration feels like Breath of the wild, but without the combat. The farm system is pretty good, it’s not as straight forward as harvest moon, but it is a fun system nonetheless. On a side note, there is literally no combat.

Reminiscent of Wind Waker with the art style. You will stay busy with a bunch of stuff to collect. Some of the physics could use some improvement. Overall, one to add to your library.

Yonder is one of those games that won't be for everyone. It's not an action packed game, a scary game, or a game with an amazing story. No. Many would call this a boring walking simulator. To an extent, they're right. It's a slower paced open world game where the focus isn't on combat, horror, or story. But it's excellently crafted and extremely relaxing open world game that has elements of games like Star Dew Valley, Harvest Moon, and Animal Crossing with an art style that's like a cross between Breath of the Wild and Wind Waker. Not all will like this type of game but I love it. Hopefully you will too.

This game is fun. I would say basic when it comes to farming type games, but complex in the area of infinitely needed crafting parts. A good thing is no real death or pain or fighting so great for kids. Long hours of play later still fun, even after "beating" it, still not bad.

This game is really beautiful and fun to walk around, but after about an hour it’s quite boring. There is not enough conflict in the game to keep interest

Feels and looks a lot like Breath of the Wild, but instead of combat you do the collect/craft gameplay. Action is pretty minimal, but it looks great and is very relaxing to enjoy, game is a bit like a warm bath in that you do it to relax just before bed.

If you'd like to take a break from shooting things, this may be for you. There's no combat or platforming, just helping people and unraveling mysteries. To paraphrase Tony Wilson, it's a good game to chill out to
