This is the closest we will get a 3rd banjo game. Its made from the Rare team who made the first 2 and made thier own studio. Saying that its a little outdated sometimes

Yooka Laylee is a Playstation, Nintendo 64 era style platformer through and through. If you don't like Banjo Kazooie or Spyro the Dragon mechanics and controls you should move on even at the cheaper price. Like the Youtube personality Jim Sterling says, its a platformer that has none of the improvements modern games in the genre have made. While I agree with that statement, I still get nostalgia for my childhood while I play and there is enough humor and range of activities to keep me going. I think if the development team would have modernized it a little more it would have been more popular and a better game overall.

Very funny game. Spiritual sequel to the Banjo Kazooie series. Controls and camera can feel a bit odd at times, but overall the game is very enjoyable.

Great worlds to explore, just not enough of them. Also camera issues. Bottom line great graphics, fun to play, camera issues and lack of worlds.

Yooka laylee is made but some of the developers responsible for banjo. While that sounds good yooka laylee suffers from the similar issues that plagued 3d games in the past. Camera is wonky and controls are some what slippery. Odd game design choices such as characters not fitting the archetypes for levels and so on. It's a great game for those who don't mind or have nostalgia for the N64 days but for today it'd be a hit or miss.

This was purchased as a birthday gift for my daughter, she loves it, she is 7, it’s a perfect platformer for young kids!

If you were a fan of Banjo-Kazooie, you will love Yooka-Laylee. Definite throw back, but also has all the annoying 90s features - unable to skip scenes, annoying camera work. Nostalgia to the max if you're looking for it.

This game is tutorial heavy. It is sometimes painstakingly slow at describing what buttons do what. It leaves very little to the imagination (as far as trying to figure things out for yourself). I bought it for my 6 year old who is just learning how to read and he had trouble with understanding the words. A LOT of collectibles if you're into that kind of thing. Seems like a nice, easy time killer. There is co-op local play also if you have a little one that likes playing with you.

This game has a poor reputation for what it is, but it's a throwback title to 3d platformer collecting games a la Banjo Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64. If collecting arbitrary McGuffins doesn't sound appealing, avoid this game. If collecting for the sake of it sounds fun, then buy this and enjoy. At launch, it had significant issues with the camera, but an Update patch has been release, significantly reducing issues people had, allowing more control. A fun game in a forgotten genre.

Classic platformer. Funny characters. The talking in the game is annoying. Overall a good game.

I was a huge fan of Banjo Kazooie and all the other great platformers on N64 and with this game we finally have a solid platformer for this generation of gaming. Fun colorful graphics and lots of humor mixed in make this a great game for anyone regardless of age.

If you love Banjo-Kazooie from the 90's, I can guarantee you'll like this game.

Playtonic Games is made up of former Rare employees who worked on several games. They make no attempt to hide Yooka-Laylee is basically the Nintendo 64 Banjo games in a new coat of paint. It doesn't always work, but as someone who loved Banjo-Kazooie, it filled a void that had been left for almost two decades.

Had this for 15 dollars on black Friday/ cyber Monday. How could I say no! It's a rare software game and had a five dollar gift card so made it 10 dollars!

I had high hopes for the game since I was a big fan of Banjo Kazooie. It’s an okay game but is nothing like banjo.

This game is mostly fun, but also annoying at times. And there are performance issues in certain areas. I guess I would say that 80% of the time, I was having fun, but I would not want to play through this again. It's just not that memorable. Go back and play Banjo-Kazooie instead.

Nice nostalgia trip if you’re a fan of Banjo, but plays like an N64 game and the camera can be frustrating.

Game Plays smooth, no frame drops and maintains a good FPS.
