The game is super adorable. It's very creative and the visuals are stunning. The jump/flutter mechanic is flawless, when in alot of indie platform games you have to be very precise with your jump (looking at you Shovel Knight) and the flow of the levels is always very smooth. The wool you are supposed to collect is always carefully hidden and it is a real challenge to search them all out. They unlock the cutest patterned Yoshi's and it really drives you to want to find them all. Expect to replay levels and still have a great time!

The game is a cute yoshi game with it's art direction based on yarn. If you ever played Yoshi's Island from the SNES, it's pretty similar to it in game play. There's new power ups, a mellow mode, and of course...amiibo support. Kid and family friendly but the co-op mode my turn into "STOP EATING ME!" and "OMG STOP!" if you have friendly family fights.

This game accomplishes what all great platformers do and that is attain basic and simple gameplay and controls. Yoshi's Woolly world also is a 2 player platformer at that, having dozens of levels in over 6 sub world, new power-ups and plenty of challenges, giving Yoshi fans what they need to have a fun game!

Woolly World is a lot of fun on co-op. The easy mode gives all the Yoshis wings and takes a lot of the pain and skill out of the game. Adults will be more challenged playing in regular mode. Lots of levels to explore and many things to find for completionists. Plus the visuals are very unique and cute.

Worthy spiritual successor to Kirby's Epic Yarn

It's hard to find fault with Yoshi's Woolly World. It's another nice platformer from Nintendo and Good-Feel (Kirby's Epic Yarn). With lots of collectibles, secrets, and charm, it's challenging if you want it to be, but not frustratingly so. My biggest complaints are the graphics and maybe the music. While still excellent, compared to Kirby's Epic Yarn, I feel like the graphics/visuals weren't given quite the same attention to detail this time around. It could be the unforgiving 1080p HD resolution (compared to 480p for Epic Yarn), but it's occasionally a little too easy to tell that a lot of the textures are scans/photos of yarn/fabric. The music, while good, also sounds a bit generic compared to Epic Yarn's soundtrack. I know it's probably a bit unfair to compare this game to it's spiritual predecessor, but having played both, it's a little hard not to. Still, in my opinion, Yoshi's Woolly World is definitely another must-have for Wii U's excellent lineup of exclusives.

This game is adorable cute and fun to play. If you're a perfectionist, you'll keep going back to levels to clear them by collecting everything. Each level allows you to knit together a fun playable Yoshi character if you find all 5 yarns. Some of the levels are tricky as to how you find things. With invisible clouds that only appear if you happen to go over them, and spots on the map that look solid but you can go inside. Even our 3 year old enjoys "playing" and to make things easy, when he gets distracted, you can just suck his character up and complete the level with the other player in your mouth! No more waiting for them to follow you!

Bought the game to play with my friend, we were not disappointed at all. Playing through the main game with two players works great, it does lead to some fun shenanigans, turning each other into yarn balls and shooting them into pits. But the gameplay does lend itself to good cooperative play though, especially if you try to collect all of the goodies hidden throughout the levels. With how densely everything is hidden it's great to have two players searching high and low to find everything. The platforming in the game is fairly easy making running into each other not much of a hazard, like it can be in the New Super Mario Bros games. Overall it is a very fun platformer, that is especially enjoyable with two people.

My partner and I used to have a lot of fun playing Kirby Epic Yarn together. Finally a game to fill that co-op void! The game looks extremely polished, with little touches everywhere that make it visually stunning. The gameplay is also good. It's definitely harder than Epic Yarn, and there is more chance for co-op frustration due to the ease of being able to swallow your partner (although that might be a bonus for some). There is also a lot of replay value due to the many collectibles hidden in each level.

I'd like to start off by saying that I felt that the art style was a bit of a bite off of Playstation's Little Big Planet series, but that aside, I thought this game was great. The wool/yarn style gave a fun feeling to gameplay, the colors are very bright and help make the art style really pop, the level design is fun, the soundtrack is pretty killer, and there's so much to collect! A great platformer for all ages and an excellent addition to the Wii U's game lineup. A must play for platformer fans!

Yoshi's Wooly World is an easy game when you want it to be, and a very hard game when you want it to be. If you want to relax and coast through some levels, it affords you the opportunity to do that. If you want a true challenge, it can provide that as well. The graphics are amazing, the music is very good, and it is an overall rewarding experience for the gamer who enjoys good platformers. Also, the Yarn Yoshi's that you can buy for use in this game are must-haves.

I got this to play with my 6 year old girl. The art style and characters appealed to her, and the gameplay is very accessible. The level design is accommodating to her age as an intro gamer and has enough depth for game vets like myself. I honestly found myself playing this on my own! Collecting what we missed during co op play is very enjoyable. Overall a great game for any age

Don't get me wrong. Yoshi's Woolly World is a great game to play as a solo platformer, using the Yoshi's Island mechanics with some new traits. Though, playing this with a friend, family member, or significant other really brings out the best of the game. It's fun to have wars and puzzle solving moments with them and you will never see a dull moment!

This game took every aspect of the Yoshi's Island series that made it so great and improved on all of it. The visuals are amazing and the game play is so much fun. The game gradually gets more challenging as you progress through the games from a platforming and puzzle solving perspective. Definitely worth the wait and money.

We have kids ranging four to eighteen years old in our house, and they're all avid gamers. Yoshi's Wolly World is an unique game where all players in the house can enjoy. It's simple enough to younger kids, but it is also challenging enough to keep older ones' interests. I would highly recommend this game to any age player.

Great game for families. Like Mario if you have multiple players you can come back to life. They also have an easy mode where the game plays a little slower and your yoshi has wings and can fly. This is great for young players, they can play the game and not be so frustrated with constantly dying.

Yoshi's Woolly World is a solid platformer, with a fantastic look. It feels like Yoshi has made his way off of Etsy to the Wii-U, but once you get past the visuals there is a good solid game behind them. Slightly more challenging than the average Mario game, Yoshi uses fun power ups and great level design to entertain. The game uses a lot of Amiibo's if you have them to give Yoshi a variety of different looks.

This game is a lot of fun! It's one that anybody can pick up and play and it's multiplayer so experienced players can play with less experienced players. It's a perfect game for kids as young as 5. It's also beautiful. The attention to detail and the art design are stellar.

This game is a lot of fun. I was skeptical at first thinking that it might be just a kids game. It reminds me a lot of Mario just switched with Yoshi. The game play is fun. The levels get harder as you progress through the game. A great buy if your looking for a game.

I enjoyed this game. It's not much of a challenge if all you are doing is beating levels. You'll need to complete all 4 challenges of every level to be challenged by the game. It's a great platformer and is really fun. It's also very easy to pick up and play. If you liked Yoshi's island you will love this game. It's the same type of thing minus a crying baby Mario.
