This classic is a must have. The movie is a pea your pants, I really need a cure for the winter blues comedy. For almost 50 years I have watched this movie and every time it brings raucous laughter, first with my parents, then friends, then my children, and now grandchildren. Throw away the hunger games and Harry Potter and watch something that will keep you laughing for years to come.

The movie itself is just as fun as I remembered it being when I first watched it years ago. The special features make this an even better value with outtakes, feature-length commentary by Mel Brooks (which is actually entertaining), and a "Blucher Button" (press it, it's a great gag). If you don't already have this gem in your movie library, get it now.

Mel Brooks is probably the greatest comedic director ever. Couple Brooks with one of the greatest comedic actors of all time, the late Gene Wilder, and what you get is pure comedy gold. This story puts a funny twist on the classic Frankenstein story but yet still respects the source material. Every movie fan must have this one in their collection.

If you haven't seen this movie yet, you're missing one of the best comedy classics ever made. If you like the early horror classics, this keeps the dark and shadow laden feel of the original Frankenstein movies but adds the comedy genius of Mel Brooks and an all star cast. I've had this movie on VHS and DVD, but had to get it in Blu-ray as well.

Best Buy has some great gems if you just keep your eyes out for them and this was one to buy considering it is at the top of the list of beloved Mel Brooks comedies! You can't beat picking up a well remastered movie on blu ray for under $10.00! Don't know if the deal will last so my advice would be to snatch it up while you can because it a classic worth owning...

One of the greatest comedies made by man... well, two men actually: Gene Wilder and Mel Brooks. Not as politically incorrect as Blazing Saddles, nor as slapstick as some of Brook's later works, this movie strikes the perfect balance between honoring the horror films of the 1930s and mocking some of their sillier cliches.

What can I say? This movie is hilarious and you will never think of Frankenstein as a frightening monster once you watch this. Mel Brooks does it again and what a cast! Gene Wilder, Madeline Kahn, Marty Feldman, Terry Garr Cloris Leachman and Peter Boyle as the monster. Funny from start to finish!

One of my all time favorite movies! Mel Brooks hit a home run with this movie. Gene Wilder, Marty Feldman and the rest of the cast are perfect. It takes the classic story and completely turns it into one of the best comedies of all time. If you haven't seen this or even if you have. Pick it up and watch it again and again!

I don't even think a review of this movie is necessary if you do not enjoy every second of this movie then there is something wrong with you and you should seek help immediately. This movie is a timeless classic and although there are some funny movies these days there is just something about M Brooks comedies that could never be matched again.

So many great quote lines in this classic... and some great cameo appearances dotting this plot line... Wilder is fabulous in this role, and so are the characters he's surrounded by! Totally recommend this cult comedy classic!

This is the best Mel Brooks movie ever. The picture quality is fantastic. Having watched this movie multiple times on different formats, I saw incredible new detail due to the HD and BluRay. Even though my wife doesn't appreciate Young Frankenstein the way I do,I am hoping to eventually win her over as a fan.

I bought Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Young Frankenstein and Monty Python and the Holy Grail for $20 combined. On top of that, I used a $5 Rewards certificate. Three great movies for $15. You really can't beat that. No digital copies are included with any of the blu-rays, but still a great value.

Loved this movie. I only wish it could have come with a digital copy! I bought it on sale for $5, so I'm not complaining too much. No store pick up. I was stuck paying shipping. Come on Best Buy--why do you have to be like that!

One of my favorite "Halloween" movies. ( And not just for October). Saw it n the Theaters a million years ago, Completely wore out a VHS tape of it, and have watched the DVD a lot. I knew I had to get a Blu-ray of it. When it was on sale and was the Anniversary Edition to boot it was a must buy! Lots of fun little extras too.

The CLASSIC Mel Brooks epic comedy movie. Funny even if you haven't seen the original scary B&W classic "Frockinstene" movie! (Inside joke) Watch it several to get all the hidden jokes.

This movie does not need a review. If you don't know anything about this movie then there is something wrong with you. This is a TRUE CLASSIC. Gene Wilder and Mel Brooks at there best. One of the BEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME. Best scene of all time is the scene when Gene W tells them not to open the door for anything.

Great Frankenstein meets Bride of Frankenstein comedy. Gene Wilder and Mel Brooks have put together a very funny story. I have enjoyed this movie since I was a teen, a decade after it was released in 1974. There are so many great stars like: Madeline Kahn, Teri Garr, and of course Gene Wilder, and so many more.

This movie was an instant classic as soon as it was released in the theaters. Done in black and white to increase the feel of film noire. One liners and scenes that still stand up today. Give him a sed-a-give! Abbie someone. Put the candle back! Watch it for yourself and discover your favorite part.

I've seen this quite a few time throughout the years, but, never owned a copy of it for collection. Bought this in Blu-ray and watched it again. Can't go wrong with this movie. One of the best comedy movies done. Sadly; almost all of these great comedians have now passed on...
