This is a must have to your collection if you have loved and played the other titles. If you are an rpg fan, then this is a must own.

The jungle environment is totally awesome as I played through it using different characters.

So this is my first experience with this series and so far I'm enjoying it. I've heard the game is more than 35 hours and I've only put in 5-6 so far (and have yet to meet a major character) so there is a lot yet to do. It really feels like some of the older Final Fantasy series it also looks like them. Graphics aren't amazing but they are good and the gameplay and story are both worth checking out.

The look of this game is bright and lively and that is exactly what this game is. It is so much fun playing this game. The characters are all great and the world just welcomes you to explore it.

i have never played a ys game but this makes me want to go and play all of them

If you have not played a Yakuza game before, this is a fantastic place to start

Graphics are dated but gameplay is solid. Action flows smoothly and story seems interesting.

Great entry in the Y series; just as engrossing as the last ones

I enjoy this game. It is a fun adventure with a decent sense of progression but i feel I have been forcing my self to continue for a while now. Not really sure why but maybe because I have limited time and this is taking way longer than expected. Nonetheless, it is a solid adventure and I like most of the characters and story.

GREAT GAME TO ADD TO MY COLLECTION, LEAVING IT SEALED

Ys VIII is the latest in the LONG-running Ys series. It's a title geared toward hardcore JRPG fans (not as mainstream as "Final Fantasy" or even the "Persona" games), but it's a solid pick-up nevertheless.

Ys 8 is an excellent action game. It follows Adol on one of his many adventures where his luck of shipwrecking and getting involved in catastrophic world ending events follows him and involves an entire ship full of random other people who get taken along for the fun. The combat is based on Ys Seven and Memories of Celceta where each character has an attack type: Slash, Pierce and Strike. Some enemies are weaker to one and stronger against others so you need to pick the right character for the right enemy every once in a while. The main goal of the game is get off the island that you get stranded on in the beginning but as you explore the island you learn more about what's going on and why you are stuck. If you like action games I highly recommend it.

The game’s combat is extremely easy, it’s not too hard to beat the bosses either. However the story is really good and the characters are pretty interesting. The game has a good variety of monsters and the village doesn’t require any management.

Action JRPGs are pretty rare these days. Ys (pronounced Yis) is an RPG series that is just as old as Final Fantasy and just as worthy of your time. The only difference is that Final Fantasy came to the west, and Ys has kind of been hidden for years.

I have waiting for this game some it was announced in Japan and the only reason I bought my ps4. Totally got my money worth.

What a great action JRPG this is. Amazing music, colorful characters, flashy moves. What more could you ask for really?
