We just re-purchased, (I feel stupid admitting it), the Yuneec Typhoon H Pro with RealSense from BestBuy, (see my review "flew into the lake"). Yuneec did offer to replace the first drone, just the drone without the ST16 Controller for $1,298, (now that's customer service for you). When BestBuy had the entire pro package with RealSence, two batteries, chargers and backpack for $1,199 we figured we would give it a second chance. DUMB move! Calibrated it and our new one will NOT hold the GPS. There were ample satellites showing on the ST16 and the TH but it would keep dropping the GPS. It was flying erratically and at times it was not responding to the controller at all. After two days of the GPS shutting off on its own and watching the voltage fluctuate down then UP then way down, it's going back before we don't have one to return! It's a cool drone when and if it works but we know Yuneec's drill all too well. Especially after seeing other reviews and discussions on a Yuneec Typhoon H forum, of the exact same thing happening to other Typhoon H Pros with RealSense and knowing once again Yuneec is trying to say it's operator error! The operator has NO control over the voltage of a brand new battery or the GPS holding when you are not touching your screen. Its time for us to stop wasting our valuable time and money on Yuneec products and move on to DJI.

I spent over a month reviewing camera drones and was almost set on the DJI Phantom 4. After setting aside the marketing from the drone companies themselves and studying you tube posts, I was confident in purchasing the Typhoon H Pro. The drone itself is really well made with figment and materials. Some have posted negatively about the thin upper shell of the drone, but it is cast very well ... no problem there. I will say to make sure the rear of the battery has NO space between it and the rear of the drone when pushed in. A power loss due to a poor connection is not an option with a drone at this price point. The panning of the camera, independent of the drone's flight path is great, as you can swing the camera while doing fly bys without landing gear getting into the shot. The flight time on the battery is pretty accurate to what Yuneec claims as long as you are not flooring it the whole flight. Transmission distance is not as great as the Phantom 4 claims for its bird. I still managed to get about a half mile of trans through hills and trees. I would like to see what it can do unobstructed or with some aftermarket antennas. Follow me, watch me is great as you cannot shake the drone. It has a GPS bead on you whether you have the wizard or controller. The obstacle avoidance works well in the open with random hazards, but I would like to give it more of a challenge in the future. I am still working through functions and presets, but this bird is cracked up to what they claim it is. The camera is stable and smooth even in windy conditions. The picture is great. I love the android tablet being built into the controller. Although I have an iPhone and iPad, the iPhone screen seems too small to work with, and my kids usually have the iPad's battery drained before I would be able to think about using it ... so the controller is a plus for me. Two thumbs up for the first couple of weeks.

It's fragile, a fall from 2 feet broke the landing gear and after waiting 45 minutes for yuneec to answer the phone. They charged me $50 in parts because it was somehow my fault it plummets at 2 feet and breaks. Next time I'm buying a DJI or a Parrot.

Three Typhoon H's three failures and not operators fault. First one) the camera wasn't attached to DRONE properly returned BB reordered and waited 10 days for a replacement. Second DRONE on maiden voyage - hovered for 20 seconds or less when it went straight up and crashed in pieces. Sent back to manufacturer and bought another. Third and final Yuneec H was taken back to Best Buy when the RC module quit working and controllers screen would not come on. Best Buy has been nothing but terrific working trying to solve the Yuneec H DRONE problems.

This drone is a total beast and comes in a complete RTF package, no extras are needed to fly. I can't believe the heft of this thing but once it's in the air it seems to float like a feather. It's kind of hard to explain but the response of the drone from the controller makes it feel weightless. I also love the CGO3+ 4k camera. I copy over the MP4 video and play them directly on my iMac, the clarity is incredible. For me the biggest selling point was not needing an additional tablet, an Android tablet is built in which sows all of your telemetry data in real time from the ST16. The 3 Axis Gimbal is incredible. I have whipped this drone around, jerking the controls, yet the video is rock steady. Since Yuneec made a complete package including the drone with RealSense obstacle avoidance, the ST16 controller with build in tablet, a backpack carrying case, 2 batteries, charger for both the drone batteries and the ST16 which is rechargeable, Wizard controller a $200 value, a sun shield for the tablet, spare props, 16gb Micro SD card. And in addition the wizard is a second controller so you can use the Team Mode feature, having a pilot and camera operator. I did look at the DJI Inspire but with all the extras and the price the Yuneec Typhoon H Pro was a no brainer.

best buy in okemos, mi sold this to me with a broken engine. took it for a test flight and crashed after the 5th flight. best buy in okemos general manager would not refund my money because he felt I crashed the drone myself. working thorugh yuneec customer service is very VERY VERY slow. I wish I had not bought this device, and this experience has cost best buy my business.

I bought this suppose to be top of line Drone, or so I thought Ha! I would have been better off throwing $1700 out the window; I could have at least seen it fly longer than the Drone, Please save Your money on this, Yuneec Customer Service is terrible also believe Me when they get their Money Your on Your on!

Didn't have the best reviews. Store associate talked me into buying it. Loved the concept and features of the drone and what they were trying to do- but crashed on first flight. Hard to control. Returned it and got the one we wanted to begin with. No trouble with it.
