This wireless keyboard/case is sturdy, durable, and it functions exceptionally well. It has really revolutionized my use of my iPad Air 10.9”, because now that I can type at a normal speed on my iPad, it has become a light-weight, valuable option for on-the-go working. With position options, it always works for me. Speaking of always working, the best part is the incredible battery. Since purchase months ago, I have charged it only one time, I’ve used it often, and I’m using it to write this review right now!

The Zagg case for my ipad is da’ bomb! I’ve dropped the thing so many times and the case just takes a lickin’ and keeps on keeping on protecting the ipad. I love having the keyboard and it’s so easy to use. Really an amazing add on to my ipad that makes it indispensible.

It was difficult to get it into the case. But I like it. The pencil doesn’t always seat itself. Overall good choice. Love the keyboard. Easy for me to tilt it

This case is nice because the case protects your ipad and hold your apple pencil. You can then attach the case magnetically to the keyboard and type with the light up keyboard.

Initial Inquiry & Decision:
Looking to boost productivity on my Apple iPad Air 10.9" (4th and 5th generation compatible), I chose the Pro Keys wireless keyboard for its laptop-style typing experience, backlit keys, and multi-device pairing capability.
Unboxing, Build Quality, & Testing:
The keyboard offers comfortable, responsive key travel with seven-color adjustable backlighting, easing typing in low-light conditions. It pairs easily with two devices, allowing fast switching between tablet and phone. The detachable keyboard design, along with a stylus holder, provides flexibility for different usage scenarios. The durable polycarbonate case features rubberized edges, button covers, and corner bumpers, offering drop protection up to 6.6 feet without bulk, making it easy to carry. Battery life is impressive, with up to a year of typing between charges based on typical use. Smart features like auto sleep/wake help conserve power when the keyboard isn’t in use.
Overall Impressions and Recommendation:
The Pro Keys wireless keyboard is an excellent accessory for Apple iPad Air users seeking a comfortable typing experience bundled with strong protection and long battery life. Its versatility and lightweight design make it perfect for on-the-go productivity and creativity.

Solid protective case with great keyboard

This is a very nice keyboard with a good feel and nice key travel. It is slightly smaller than a standard keyboard, but nothing that keeps me from typing at normal speed. The keys are all where you expect them to be. The backlight is nice and you can pick one of several different colors for it as well as three levels of brightness. It feels solid when typing and sits well on a desk or your lap. I like how I can detach the iPad from the keyboard and it is still protected. The cover has a nice faux leather feel to it.
There are a few differences from the Magic Keyboard. Despite how the photo looks, it doesn’t float, but attaches magnetically at the base. It has its own internal battery instead of being powered by the iPad. The battery should last a very long time and its power level shows up on the iPad when connected. It has a slot for Apple Pencil that still lets it charge and a strap that covers most of it while in transport so you won’t lose it. The case fully protects the iPad even while detached. It also has a few standard function keys. There are holes in the front to deflect speaker sound forward without really affecting the sound. The volume buttons are covered but work as expected.
I have a couple of minor issues with it. First, the keyboard goes to sleep when not in use and takes several seconds to connect again. Second, it turns off when the iPad is not attached to the case making the second Bluetooth connection less useful. It also completely covers the back except for a small square around the camera so I cannot see the blue color of my iPad.
I can still use Touch ID with the home button. It is a little obscured with the plastic piece behind it but it doesn’t prevent me from using it as designed, nor did it prevent me from registering my fingerprint when I first got it.

Bought this for my mom bc she tends to plop down at her kitchen counter with her iPad and uses it like a laptop, or at least wishes the iPad had some of the conveniences a laptop offers. Aside from the bland gray color (not something my 78-year-old mom would call "pretty"), it performs as advertised. She really enjoys the backlit keys and the color options.

The case is very sturdy but it’s a magnetic cover that easily comes off if the iPad. It’s a case within the case so you can detach the magnetic keyboard at anytime. It’s different from my previous case that allowed the keyboard to stay on and it moved to the back while you were able to still prop it up. The case is nice but it takes some adjusting.

Good keyboard, but with drawbacks

While I like the keyboard action, I doubt I’d buy this again, even though I relied on the NYT Wirecutter, CNET and Toms reviews. This replaces a Logitech keyboard for an Air 2 iPad. That keyboard failed and because they are getting harder to find, I just traded the Air 2 for an Air 4 and looked for a good keyboard case that wasn’t the overpriced Apple unit.
Good points: the keyboard has a good tactile feel. I am a very fast typist. I need a good keyboard because the on-screen keyboard slows me down something awful. The protective frame around the iPad is quite sturdy and offers a good buffer against shock if dropped. The two viewing angles are good. There’s space for a stylus atop the frame. I bought the Zagg stylus unit at half the price of Apple’s but the Apple stylus can recharge atop the Zagg frame if I recall.
Bad points from my perspective: this keyboard/case works well … if you keep it on a hard surface. The frame is held in place only by magnets and is prone to tipping over and falling over and off if used in your lap. The Previous Logitech keyboard was a single unit in that the IPad snapped into the frame built in to the keyboard case and much easier to use on your lap. (The new Logitech case for the Air 4 appears to be the same construction as the Zagg case.) In addition, there are times that the Zagg keyboard will not work on the Air 4 with certain functions, I.e. trying to edit a Facebook entry, trying to fill certain online forms, trying to fill out surveys such as this one, and I end up using the screen keyboard or going to my Mac. I am now typing, slowly, with the on-screen keyboard. NOTE: I do not know if this issue is the keyboard or an Apple issue, so that’s a question mark.
So, the price was right and it has some positives, but this is not the best product for my needs.

A Great Find!!

What a great find!! I was looking for a protective case and keyboard for my new iPad Air. At first, I bought an Apple Magic Keyboard when it was on sale, but it still was expensive. However, even though it looked very modernistic, had a trackpad, and felt sturdy, I realized that the Magic Keyboard really doesn't protect the iPad if I should drop it and it was limited in its flexibility for usage. Then I found the ZAGG - Pro Keys Wireless Keyboard on sale. I found it sturdy enough, not perfect, but it definitely offered much better protection for my iPad if I should accidentally drop it. The keyboard is comfortable like my 10-year old ZAGG iPad case and keyboard. I also like that I had the ability to be able to take my iPad Air out of the wrap-around, folding keyboard, yet the iPad Air was still in a protective case. I don't think I need a trackpad at this time. Maybe in another 10 years, I will downsize to an iPad with a protective case, trackpad, and keyboard to use as my computer.

Zagg Keyboard Case, a must buy!

The Zagg Keyboard / Case cover is a great keyboard. When you get ready to use it, all you need to do is take the IPad out of the keyboard case and start typing, it’s that easy. Don’t spend $299 for the Apple Keybosrd as all you are really buying is the name. This Zagg keyboard does everything the Apple z Magic Keyboard does and for hundreds less. The outward case is very sturdy . I have dropped my iPad while in the case s few times and the iPad didn’t even move. Total protection and it has s slot cut out for the camera … a must buy and buy from Best Buy as they kick in a few Apple freebies that other retailers do not.

If you don’t like the onscreen keyboard this is the one to buy for your iPad 11”. It has all the necessary keys and shortcuts. The battery life is excellent, up to a year if you don’t illuminate the keys & still very good if you do light them up. The case is very study and protects from falls. Save some money and forget the overpriced Apple one.

The keyboard is sturdy and I like that it comes with a case for the iPad that you can quickly remove from the keyboard since it’s magnetic.
The lighted keyboard however tends to turn off very quickly after typing and I have to turn it back on. The actual keys are slightly slippery but easy to type and quiet. There are two positions where you can stand the iPad on the case and it sometimes does fall backward on soft surfaces like a sofa. The picture is misrepresenting because it looks like the iPad is suspended but it does have to rest onto the keyboard section. You can also wrap the keyboard around to quickly use just the iPad. There is a flap to hold a stylus and it also closes the iPad with the keyboard. At first I didn’t like this but now I like the extra piece of closure.

The keyboard works well as it should. It stays connected to the iPad. The keyboard charge is pretty long however, I can't tell you the exact amount hours it does its job.
