Jessica Chastain delivered an amazing performance as the desperate CIA operative who devoted most of her career to locating Osama Bin Laden. The last 30-45 minutes are some of the most intense in any war movie I've seen. My only complaint would be that the film is a little overly long, but it's much better after a second viewing. I'm not sure why this film got so much flack for depicting torture scenes. The director's job is to tell a story the best way possible. At times, a story is meant to disturb us or make us uneasy. Art, in any form, should be thought-provoking and engaging. Rant over.

This is a good, but gritty movie about the realities of dealing with the terrorist world. Though not as sophisticated as westerners, their labyrinth of cloak and dagger operations poses great challenge for those who seek to foil their plans. This movie takes you inside without all of the Hollywood drama and sensationalism. It takes you along on their journey.

I'm not going to get into the movie, too much. Zero Dark Thirty is about how the CIA built up enough intelligence to go after Osama Bin Laden. Lots of brutal interrogations, depicted scenes of actual terrorists attacks, and some very good acting make this movie a must own. The picture resolution and the sound of this 4K Blu-Ray shows superb on my TCL p605, which I also got from Best Buy.

If you love espionage stories it doesn't get any better than this. Keep in mind I'm reviewing this purely from the movie point of view with no political agenda. The acting is good and some of the scenes may make your stomach turn but it does lend credibility to the actors and their craft. The visuals are top notch in my opinion and I appreciate the level of detail (as the official story goes anyway) that was put into the movie.

A remarkable film. Director Kathryn Bigelow and writer Mark Boal have crafted a stunning film. It is a timeline of a dark period in U.S. History when the country became vulnerable and had to flex its muscle even harder. The patience and endurance of this period is presented in a analytical way that unravels the story and keeps you on the edge of your seat as you wait for the inevitable.

This movie was kick-butt...... Shows how they tracked down pain stakingly Usama Bin Laden, thru his courier , set up a raid and took him out... Apparently very close to really what happened. This movie apparently was very close to what happened and shows how the chain of command works in the intelligence community and how long sometimes it takes for the government to make up its collective mind to act.... Absolute must see movie......

I think that "Zero Dark Thirty" is one of the greatest action films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite action films of all-time. I have seen and enjoyed this film several times and I also think that "Zero Dark Thirty" had a lot of entertaining, exciting and enjoyable action, mystery and suspense including an exciting and original storyline.

This is a good film, but I cant see myself watching it over again and again. The acting is a bit over the top and almost makes you turn away from watching it as it seems a bit fake. A film is supposed to bring you IN to the film and make you feel like its happening around you NOT draw you away. The sets are crude but what do you really need for offices and a few torture rooms? Did it deserve to be up for best picture? No, but it was a "all American movie where we got the bad guys". The extras aren't even worth talking about because they are barely a blip on the radar.

This is not your typical low buget movie where you can anticipate the end at the opening credits. It's not always fast paced and so much happening you have to rewind or re watch the movie, this one will have you talking about it once it's over. They show how things were done one way and then they show the change in Command. How 1 person can inspire, how 1 person can make a difference in our world

Although everyone knows how this story ends, few knew how the operation came to be. This is a must see for anyone interested in the bringing to justice of OBL or in counterintelligence. I'm sure not all of it is perfectly accurate, but from what I've read, a lot of it is. Be prepared for some tough-to-watch scenes, but this movie is excellent. Jessica Chastain should have won an Oscar for her performance.

Frankly, when watching this movie, you feel in the moment of what ultimately results into the most important military operation ever. While everyone knows how it ends, the build up and drama of this film feels so authentic and is incredibly tense. Well acted and well written, this movie is simply outstanding in every way.

As a BIG supporter of our military men and women it was great to see what really goes into planning and executing a mission of this magnitude. This type of information is rarely seen in the media since they choose to only show what we do wrong instead of what we do right.

This movie is well-made from the ground up, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's interesting to see recent events portrayed on film, particularly when they reveal more dimensions to the issue than I had gathered from news media. Some may think the opening is a bit slow, since it is largely driven by dialogue and psychological intrigue, but just wait until the third act!

Zero Dark Thirty recounts the hunt for Osama Bin Ladin. This movie is worthy of the accolades it's received for directing and it presents a tense and intense overall movie. The audio and video are top notch. From the ambient surround effects that come into full force with the climatic helicopter scene at the compound. It's great movie with a great audio and video transfer.

I think that "Zero Dark Thirty" is one of my many favorite films of all-time. This film provided very surprising and new insight into the hunt for Osama Bin Laden after his role in the 9/11 attacks was uncovered. I also think that this film had a lot of action, mystery, suspense and a great and amazing cast that made this an exciting and enjoyable film as well.

"Zero Dark Thirty" tells the story of what is considered as the greatest manhunt for the world's most dangerous person and how that person is captured. This is an intense filled two and a half hour movie that shows us what the US SEAL team did in order to capture Osama Bin Laden and how the events played out. Since the majority of the world knows how this story plays out, the ending is no surprise, but the events leading up to this is extremely intriguing and suspense filled.

Zero Dark Thirty is a classic action movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. I paid $5.99 for this Blu Ray Disc at Best Buy. One of the all time great bargains that I have purchased from Best Buy.

I loved this movie when I saw it in the theater. I couldn't wait for it to come out on home release. My wife and I thought it was the best film of 2012-13. I was shocked that it didn't win Best Picture. I strongly recommend seeing Zero DarK Thirty. Not only is it a great movie but it also serves as a recent history lesson of what was going on in the War Against Terror.

This film is not over-rated in any way. All of the detailed elements and suspense that is needed to keep the audience entertained and informed is captured by the director. Like a well-written novel, even the slow-paced scenes keep you waiting with anticipation for the next great reveal.

I loved this story, and the 2012 film is very well done. it's based on the true stories of the one woman and the men in the intel agency that fight every day to keep us all save. It brings into focus all the complications that these devoted people had to navigate who to get the man who was responsible for 911.
