The iPad user experience changes tremendously when switching between portrait and landscape positions; Sometimes the app demands it (e.g. Kindle , Cut the Rope, etc), and it's even more important to have a nice typing angle. Most iPad cases force you to use 2-3 possible positions, and if you want something that can be rotated to portrait position, it usually means that there's going to be a bulky spinning ratchet design on the back of the case. The ZeroChroma design combine two traits that NO ONE ELSE can claim: 1) It offers ANY angle you can think of in portrait AND landscape positions, AND 2) It's lighter than ANY other case with similar features. The front lid is a great design because it 's easily removable plus it features the Smart Cover feature where the device turns on and off with every open and close. I especially like the fact that the front cover is made of a quality fabric and it's devoid of those trifold creases scream 'tablet case.' From the front, the ZeroChroma looks more like a small paper notebook or padfolio . As an added bonus I found that the rear kickstand can be positioned to wedge between the middle and ring finger of the left hand. This grip makes the iPad easier to use when holding it with your left hand while your right fingertip(s) does all the tapping. I've attached a pic to illustrate this. Another unexpected bonus is how well it integrates with the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover. I've attached a pic of this combination and I especially like how the ZeroChroma case can be rested on the groove of the keyboard and then you can have any angle you like. Furthermore, the Logitech keyboard cover can be sandwiched with the ZeroChroma case without the front cover; The Smart function still works when you separate the keyboard from the case, automatically turning the device on so it's ready to use. I don't even use the front lid anymore and I put both inside of a small planner cover that I bought from an office supply store. I love this comination because it completely hides the fact that you're carrying an iPad and a keyboard. This combination will also fit any kind of zip around sleeve designed to fit an iPad Mini. So what's not to like? Not much... but I have to admit that the rear of the case, while not bulky, it certainly won't win any beauty contests. The ratchet isn't flush with the rest of the case but it's only a slight bump. I also own the iPad AIr version of this case and I found it odd that the iPad Mini version does NOT protect volume buttons and the power button. The iPad Air version, on the other hand, DOES cover the volume and power buttons. This isn't a dealbreaker but I thought it was worth mentioning. One final note: As mentioned above, I own the Mini and the Air version of this case. I think that there could be a minor design flaw in the iPad Air version of the kickstand because it occasionally makes a loud 'clicking' sound when I close the kickstand. This usually happens if I push it in too fast. Im happy to report that the iPad Mini version of this case does NOT make the clicking sound and it also feels a little smoother when transitioning between the different angles.

There is nothing outstanding about this case. However it is still a very good case. It does not try to do too much and is not very bulky. It is light and easy to carry. The cover slides on and off very easy and smoothly. This is a nice feature for when you want to use the built in stand in portrait mode. I really like how the built in stand rotates so that you can stand it in either portrait or landscape. You can even use the stand as a handle to hold it while carrying. While it does not have the bells and whistles that some other cases may have I feel that it is a decent case for what you pay.

I Got it for my wife's new iPad mini 2 & she loves it. It fits really well and seems well made. It's a good balance between protection for the device while keeping the iPad mini lightweight and easy to use. If you have the mini 2 - it is a great choice for a case.

There's nothing quite like this on the market that i've been able to find. The 360 kickstand makes it convenient for just about any viewing angle. Durable. pretty safe from drops. not as crazy as the otterbox but still good. only complaint is the slide on cover. Just feel they could have used magnets or some other mechanism. especially with the price tag so high. They use this slide method for other things as well such as car or kitchen hanger.

I really like this cover, best one I found. It covers the entire tablet and has a multi directional stand. The cover is reversible, one side suede like and the other side canvas lik I could believe it was on sale for such a low price. I'll certainly recommend this product to my family and friends. I

My husband typically buys the "otterbox" rought and tumble brand for his tablets. For me, those a are tad overkill. I bough this one because I can use it in the kitchen or on a table as a stand and just flip it open when needed. It is sturdy, light and best of yet...costs less than what my husband wanted to get. This gets the job done and does not cost an arm and a leg.

This item is so nice because, you can remove the from cover, also it is a smart cover, turning on & off the tablet. The back cover is strong with a nice rubber frame, including an extendable arm which help to hold the ipad in your hand or to keep this upright on the tablet without settings things on the back to hold it. Highly recommended.

Favorite features: slim fit, ipad mini can be viewed portrait or landscape, the stand doesn't slip and can be used to help hold the iPad by hand, magnetic snap closure, the buttons and ports are easily accessible with the case on, and it comes in a variety of colors so we can quickly tell our iPads apart (we have 3 in the family.)

If you're looking for a completely awesome and versatile case, this is the one. With with the slide off cover and the kickstand on the back of the case you have every option available to you on how you want to use your iPad mini. While the cost is a little bit higher than some of the other cases it is absolutely worth it.

This is a really good iPad mini cover/case. It has a unique slot on the side that lets you swap out other accessories such as a cover, keyboard, headrest mount, etc. The case part offers good protection and the stand is very useful and versatile, letting you rotate it so that you can view your iPad in portrait or landscape mode without issue. Overall good product.

The Best Buy Sales person recommended this case for my Apple iPad Mini 4. I questioned its fit and he assured me it would fit. It doesn't. The volume buttons, power button and camera are all in the wrong locations. I was upset to have to take it back because the concept of the case is perfect. The cover is removable and the stand allows you to easily hold your iPad. I contacted ZeroChroma about making one for the Apple iPad Mini 4 and received no response. I wish other manufacturers including Apple would copy this design.

Just what I needed. I use my iPad mini for everything, but especially for reading. Depending on how I'm laying, I need my mini at different angles. The ZeroChroma Folio-Slide is perfect for that. Plus the cover is water resistant, which is a definite bonus. It's exactly what I needed.

It's a great concept. decent implementation. Biggest pros: - the flexibility and adjustment possibilities for the rotating stand. - The fact that the smart cover detaches - The manufacturer included an awesome little note from the "tablet cover" Issues I had with it: - I had to remove the cover each time I wanted to use it in "easel mode" - the stitching on the cover started getting very stringy (there were strings of the stitching popping out all over the edges of the cover). - When opening the stand, it directly exposes the back of the tablet. If you want to keep the tablet in mint condition, watch out because this area is open to get scratches, dust, or particles when the stand is open.

There is a lot to like about this case. Sleek and versitile, the kickstand can be used to support unit at any angle. The cover can be removed easily when you don't need it. I am very happy with this purchase.

Provides very good protection, and I like the stand option. Cloth-like cover gets dirty easier than rubber/plastic, but that's a personal decision.

If you are looking for a simple case with a kickstand this is for you. Not overly bulky, simple. You can set it up at just about any angle and you can get attachments for it to hang on the backseat of your car for your children.

I bought the green model since it was on clearance. I like how the cover is removable. The stand isn't doesn't hold the iPad at the greatest angles when it's horizontal but overall a good sturdy product.

a wonderful case. fits like a glove. has a easel tab on back which is sturdy and rigid. Very reasonably priced and it works like it was made by Apple.

I've had 4 different cases for my mini iPad in the last year. I love this one. Love the versatility of the rotating stand & that the cover comes off.

I believe this case is the best available to the iPad Mini since its so lightweight and easy to carry around. It protects the iPad completely.
