After reading reviews of the ZVOX sound base, and checking out the specs, I decided to give it a try. Lucky for me, this thing is awesome. Connected the power, connected the included optical cable to the TV and BAM! it works and sounds great. To get sound to the stereo, I got a splitter for the optical cable and ran it to the stereo. I was expecting a sound lag between the two devices (that's what happened with the Sony), but it was flawless. The setup took no time at all. And if the digital optical cable isn't an option, the ZVOX also comes with RCA cables. Syncing the TV remote to the soundbase was also simple, and synced the TV remote and the TiVo remote at the same time. Very happy with this product.

I purchased this as a Christmas present for my parents, who have difficulty understanding dialogue when watching movies. I was impressed when I tried it out in my apartment and so far, they have been very pleased with the clarity now that it is in their house. It fills their 20' x 15' living room quite well. Obviously, this stand-alone soundbar doesn't fill the room like a full system would but for their purposes, it does nicely. I like the heavy weight and sturdy construction that allows their 42" tv to rest on top without worry.

Enjoying this system in my apartment, but cannot wait to have a home where I can really turn it up. Good quality sound, easy to use. My only gripe is that you need to tweak it quite a bit when using different devices (Xbox, cable, Apple TV, etc). If you can deal with that, you will be very happy with this system.

Great sound and easy to use, what a deal for such sound quality and very reasonable price

The results have been excellent. The soundbar does everything as advertised. TV sound is really good and the voices can be heard without any problems. The volume is excellent. I have hooked it up with an Amazon Echo. Playing music is terrific. One does not need a receiver to enjoy great sounds.

Great sound.....Easy installation for non-techies.

We got the sound bar because of a bad reverberation in the TV speaker. It has been absolutely fabulous and would highly recommend than large anticipated but the sound is phenomenal and would buy it again in a heartbeat

Got as an open box special and I'm very pleased I brought it home.

This soundbar has excellent sound and we were very happy with it. We liked that the television sits on top of the soundbar. Unfortunately, they were out of stock and we purchased an open box (returned one) that was damaged and we returned it.

I read all the reviews. I've had no problems. Setup is real easy. Sound is great! Voices are real clear and balanced well with music and sound effects. Plenty of Bass and mid with factory settings. Big happy with this buy.

Easy to connect to TV & bluetooth devices. Simple functionality but high quality sound. I like how it can accommodate an external subwoofer.

I had a little problem with the first 2 the Best Buy sent out, but with the customer service I recieved it was not a problem and this system works great! no placing any subwoofers behind it works great

Overall I am pleased with this sound bar/base, unlike most others it has internal subs and does not need a separate sub-woofer. The only minus is that it can't handle DTS audio (any DTS signal) only Dolby or PCM. For the Zvox developers at this price range it really should handle standard DTS audio. It slides under a 49" TV and hook up is straight forward easy. And it is way better then the TV speakers (it is 4K) which have no low end.

This is a great space saver and sounds great...love it!!!

Great soundbar for the price. Very happy with the purchase so far. I like that the TV can sit on the soundbase so the speaker doesn't take up a shelf. Hook up was a breeze. Took all of 5 minutes to get up and going as well as programming the speaker to work with my Comcast remote. Another nice feature is that it has a built in sub-woofer which minimizes the space it takes up since you don't have a 2nd speaker on the floor which many other soundbars have. Definitely better sounding than all the sound bars that are considered "entry level" and for the price, I think it's a great value.

VERY EASY TO SETUP AND SYSTEM LEARNS THE REMOTE SO

Use instead of sound at/woofer combo it's amazing and intuitive to set up. Love the fact I can Bluetooth to it for regular music if I'm in the mood.
