I bought the sensor to make sure my mail is being delivered on time incorrectly. And as of now it’s another layer of protection to make sure no one stealing mail. I highly recommend it for anyone to be more safer with the ring ecosystem
Z-Wave is a wireless communication protocol that your Mailbox Sensor devices use to speak to the Ring Bridge. Z-Wave networks usually have a greater range than traditional hub-and-spoke arrangements. You’ll know as soon as you receive mail or whenever your mailbox is opened by receiving a real-time notification in the Ring App or via a connected Alexa-enabled device that your Mailbox Sensor detects motion. Plus, you can pair your Mailbox Sensor with Ring Smart Lighting, Cameras, and Doorbells to turn on or start recording whenever your mailbox is opened. Ring Alarm motion sensors can also trigger your Ring Smart Lights through Alexa Ring Skill integrations and routines.
