Defective Samsung Mircowave
||Posted .I ordered Samsung Mircowave via online in mid of July. While we were on process put new mircowave in, once we opened the package and pulled out the mircowave to inspect to ensure no damages, unfortunately it turns out it is damaged on the side to back of the mircowave. So disappointed. Immediately returned it to the store and ask for the replacement. It took about a week for another one to arrive August 4th. Now we are happy with new replacement. 4 stars for the hassle and long waited for replacement also customer service did not offer anything to ease my unhappiness with defective mircowave. Otherwise now we all are happy to enjoy our new mircowave to replace the old one that those under vent light bulbs keep going out so often. Also it matches my Samsung stove I had brought several months ago.

Samsung Supporter
||Posted .It’s a great product with the exception of the obvious ease of denting. We drove an hour to pick one up because it wasn’t available anywhere close to my area. After opening it we found a big dent in the side. We returned it and had to wait about ten days for another one to arrive, and it too is dented only smaller this time. We unfortunately gave up and installed it. This is disappointing as I am a supporter of Samsung products even after reading many negative reviews on their microwaves and was replacing a Samsung that was less than five years old.

It’s a microwave
||Posted .Owned for 2 months when reviewed.I cannot say that I don’t recommend buying this one, in the end it’s just a microwave, and it does it well. My only gripe is that I have bad eyesight and the control panel buttons are all crammed together on the right side of the machine and the lettering on the buttons is small and in white, it’s just kind of a shoddy layout in my opinion, other than that, it’s a pretty good machine.

won't buy samsung again
||Posted .Within 6 months after buying the over the range Samsung microwave (model ME18H704SFS) the unit would shut off and not restart, screen blank. when I did get the screen back on the service company wouldn't look at it as it was working. 12 months later same thing. Unit shut down, blank screen. Since I had reported this before the warranty was out the first time, I finally got them to approve the service company to come check it out. They replaced a part to it. Now a month and half later it's doing the same thing. Sometimes it shuts down after heating items up, sometimes it just shuts down on its own and even closing the door can shut it down. Unplugging for awhile doesn't help but closing the door can make it come back for awhile. Guess the jar from the closing rattles something to make a connection. Need to call and see if they will cover this now since they replaced a part already. Not real happy with the microwave, the repair company was fast and efficient when they first checked it out. Also after changing out part only 2 speeds of the fan worked, however now all 4 have started working again. My last microwave was a counter top that lasted over 15 years. I've had this less than 2 years.

BEST MICROWAVE I EVER PURCHASED
||Posted .This Samsung Microwave is the BEST MICROWAVE I EVER PURCHASED. pros. every option and more you will ever need, the most powerful exhaust I ever saw or used, with a charcoal filter to eliminate odors, The quietest microwave ever. Cons. If you do not have an existing fan ductwork, you need to manually turn the exhaust motor/fan in the microwave 3 screws rotate and you are all set to install.

Could've been 5 stars
||Posted .Love this micro, but only gave it 4 stars because you really need to push the buttons. The rest of my Samsung appliances activate with a soft touch, but with this micro I have to give it an ape like push. Other than that, the sensors to warm food are great, and the easy access to the fan filter is a nifty design.

Samsung microwave is a DREAM
||Posted .My hat is off to SAMSUNG for packaging their appliances to ensure there is no damage. As like our range the (Whirlpool) was damaged due to VERY POOR packaging!!I called Whirlpool, and they said "THEY DO NOT SHIP DAMAGED APPLIANCES". It all starts at the manufacturer and because they use poor packaging that is why so many are damaged! 3 out of 3 to be exact. THANKS Best Buy!! EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Q: QuestionThere seems to be 2 pieces of cardboard inside but are screwed down. Are these part of the microwave or need to be removed before using
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No, do not remove either of the inserts. The cardboard looking material is called Mica and both inserts should be left inside the microwave. The rectangular one on the right is the Wave Guide Cover. The circular one on the top is the Stirrer Cover.

Q: QuestionUsing the timer independently of cooking something in the microwave? My manual says I should be able to use the timer independently during any cooking program. However, when I am cooking something for a long period of time (say 9 minutes) and try to press the kitchen timer button while the cooking is taking place, nothing happens. The time clock does not come up, so there is no way to set the timer. I had a GE profile microwave previously that had no problem cooking something and running the timer for another item that I am cooking on the stove at the same time. Is my microwave defective?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The timer and microwave do not work together. You can only use one function at a time. My previous 15 year old microwave would do both at the same time, seems very odd that a brand new one wouldn't have this functionality.

Q: QuestionCan you turn off the beep/mute it, so it doesn't continually beep after finishing? i.e. permanently no beeping.
Asked by Matt.
- A:Answer Yes you press the option button until the display says OP- 3 and then press 1 for beep on or 2 to turn the beep off. It will then prompt you to press start to confirm your settings changes.

Q: QuestionCan this vent upwards thru the top cabinet?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes, you can install the ME18H704SFS so it vents externally through the top or rear of the unit, or it can recirculate filtered air back into the room through the hidden vent. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

Q: Question12 inch cabinetI have a cabinet that is 12 inches in depth that I would like to install this microwave under. I don't care if it is not flush with the cabinet beside it. Are the holes in the top of the microwave that are used for installation within 12 inches from the back of the microwave? I'm worried that the front installation holes will not be where I need them to attach to my cabinet.
Asked by Brian Smith.
- A:Answer Thanks for your interest in the ME18H704SFS. This and other Samsung Over The Range Microwaves are designed to be installed under standard cabinets with a depth of 12-13", and the screws and cutouts noted on the mounting templates reflect this. The front of the Microwave is intended to protrude from the cabinets both to protect the cabinets from the grease and steam from the cook top, as well as to allow room for the hidden vent to exhaust back into the room from the top front edge of the Microwave. - Ms. Samsung

Q: QuestionBought this microwave but suction is extremely poor. Is there a fix for that. The exhaust on top is strong and noisy but minimal suction takes place from cooktop
Asked by JJ.
- A:Answer Did you remove the back panel and rotate the fan motor before installing? I almost missed that direction in the installation instructions. My fan works wonderfully.
