If you have little space to work with or you are a minimalist that want your room to look less cluster, get this. Sound quality will not be as good as some other full size soundbar but that’s not what this is designed for. This is the best slim application on the market as of 2023. You are buying a great looking soundbar with great sound (not the best sound, but great enough for us) This sound bar and subwoofer blend in our 75” tv setup and give us much better sound and bass than the tv speakers.

Great Sound and Low Profile

My wife also said it must be a white soundbar, which of course limits our options some. Enter this soundbar, which conveniently fit in the tight space between my Samsung Frame TV and my mantle, without having to adjust the height of the TV mount, which I call a win! The soundbar itself is great, clear sound and great bass for movies or music. Paired with the Samsung Smart Things app, you have full customization and some cool options like voice amplifier and night mode. The soundbar works through HDMI eARC and also can be controlled by your TV or Chromecast remote, which is great because who wants 3+ remotes?? The only reason this isn't a 5* is because of Best Buy. I ordered two in Open Box Excellent condition, and one came missing a cable and the mounting hardware, and the other came pretty visibly damaged (the soundbar, sub, and wires all had damage). I returned the busted up one, and will make due without a second for now. Of course, best buy customer service and returns are great, so they took it back without a fuss. But neither of the items I purchased were anywhere near 'open box excellent ' condition.

Sleek and amazing sound

The only hiccup was I guess my 95c required a firmware update to be inline with the sound system. Having a Samsung TV paired with a Samsung surround sound system is the way to go because you only need one remote. Great work Samsung. FYI, I’m happy with Best Buy’s customer service and Samsungs. Stay clear of LG.

- A:Answer HDMI micro. I bought mine off eBay for 10 bucks. There are adapters also but your better off purchasing a regular cable due to the back of the sound bars design.

- A:Answer If you are asking if you could purchase a subwoofer in addition to the one already provided I did not see anything in the settings that would allow for pairing an additional speaker. If you are buying this for the frame tv you will be happy with it.

Q: QuestionWhen I'm watching TV the volume on the sound bar goes up to 20 after appx. 30 seconds. What can cause this? I'm using the HDMI-Arc port for my connection. But no problems while listening to music via Bluetooth from my phone

- A:Answer I had a similar problem. Best Buy sold me an out-of-the-box sound bar which always went to 25 after about 2 minutes. If my initial volume was lower, it would go up to 25. If the initial volume was higher, it would go down to 25. I called Samsung tech support and they were very helpful. They led me through various diagnostics and decided I would have to send it to their repair center. I had to pay to ship it to the repair center. They wanted everything including the subwoofer so it cost me about $75. Samsung replaced the PCB board and sent everything back and it all works perfectlly! Even though I bought the sound bar 2 weeks earlier, Samsung initially said the unit was purchased over a year ago and was out of warranty. I had to send them a receipt and they covered everything under warranty. Best Buy sold me a broken sound bar and they also sold me the wrong HDMI arc cable. Samsung told me to buy a 2.1 version which I did. I was very impressed with Samsung!

Q: QuestionWhat is the power source for the subwoofer? I would like to conceal it if possible. And will placing the sub inside a cabinet have a big impact on the sound experience?

- A:Answer Hi Garrett! The HW-S801B subwoofer is wireless to the soundbar but will still need to be plugged into an electrical outlet. Placing the subwoofer in a cabinet can restrict airflow that would cause it to lose the ability to generate the high-quality sound the sub is supposed to make, and in many cases cause rattling noises which will affect your listening experience and enjoyment. ~Samsung Solutions
