SanDisk - Cruzer Switch 8GB USB Flash Drive

USB drives have become a commodity. However, many of the lowest priced options are cheaply made. And, please, stay away from the cute, gimmicky ones if you plan to use the drive for any length of time. This one is a reputable brand and seems well made. It helped that I got it on sale! ;-)

My favorite flash drive by far for school. It is always on my key chain and is not bulky at all, shorter than my keys and is very thin. Snap closure protects from dirt and rain, very well designed. Best of all, its a SanDisk, which means I can count on it to function correctly. Planning on buying another one for my son.

Just what I need to keep my favorite music current. I use it in my car to hear what I want to hear when I want to hear it with NO commercials or silly DJ's ratting on. I use 2: one for music & one for digital photos to transfer between computers, print, etc.

This is a great size and color makes easier to find in my laptop bag. Downloaded 100's of photos from 7 weeks in Italy and mailed inexpensively to my brother & sister-in-law in Texas. Bought a second one to store my own photos from this trip so could delete from my camera. Price was a daily special so could not beat that!

Basically, it's a flash drive. It fits easily into USB ports, capacity is what I needed, and transfers are as quick as can be expected. However, physically, it could have been designed better. The lever mechanism thing that makes the cover work feels very fragile and is pretty unnecessary considering the relative sturdiness of the drive itself.

This drive was too good of a deal to pass up, and it has performed exactly as expected. I didn't feel like figuring out all of the decryption and security software it comes with, so I deleted it. However, it's nice that they include it. I also like that the cap is attached so you can't lose it. Highly recommended.

I bought this on the deal of the day. You can never have enough of these little flash drives. They are great for organizing pictures by trips taken without having to create a bunch of directories on the pc. With the low price I can buy one for every occasion and just label the flash drive.

I got this for Power Point presentations at school and it's excellent! Small enough to fit in my lipstick carrier but lots of memory! Easy to plug in and weighs about nothing. Great tool for students, recipe enthusiasts or anyone who needs to carry lots of information in a convenient format.
