You'll need all the help you can get to crack the case, so play as Velma, Daphne, Fred, Shaggy and Scooby at any time with drop-in/drop-out cooperative gameplay to use each character's unique skill set to find the clues necessary to solve the whodunit. You won't go up against monster enemies empty handed though — use a ton of cool gadgets and tools to uncover clues and learn about the mysterious swamp girl to find the truth. There may even be a Scooby Snack in it for you if you can make it through the puzzles, baddies and Spooky Swamp.
