- A: AnswerBecause Microsoft and Seagate can. There are plenty of lower cost ssd drives that would be able to play any game xbox puts out but instead they partnered with Seagate to rip customers off. I have a 2gb ssd drive that cost less than $100. A 4tb drive for the Xbox One is less than $100. With games getting larger and larger, that 2 tb card is gonna be junk in 6 months, then, because the geniuses at Microsoft only put one slot in the series x, your gonna constantly be swapping multiple $400 cards. The series x is just an all around bad design whos purpose is just to fleece as much money from consumers as possible.

Q: QuestionWill the 2TB work with the series S or is it only available for the series X?(6 answers)
A: AnswerYes works with both Series X and SAnswered by GboX
- A: AnswerIdk exactly but no storage would be exactly that, you lose some gigs but thats for system to use, looks like you only use 1.8gb storage, still good enough memory for your most favorite series x/s games

- A: AnswerSome storage is always used for other needs by this kinda of tech. There is no memory card on the planet that doesn't dedicate a part of it to the operation of the tech. This can be understood with a quick google search. Just like everything sold in this world they round up or give you max specs/ averages with a disclaimer that actual size depends on factors they don't really talk about. There are different levels of quality that affects the tech as well so they use a general umbrella to advertise specs. Its expensive because of what is is. Normal memory cards and drives don't have the performance of this device. You get what you pay for.

SeaGate 2TB Expansion Card | Good Investment
Hands-down one of the best storage expansion devices I have ever owned for any of my past and current Xbox consoles. For my Xbox Series X, it has made owning and managing my game library a breeze. Previously, I had a SeaGate external hard drive which did the job but was meant for a Xbox One X, but it was slow and bulky compared to the expansion card.

X/S Expansion Needed
The expansion card is needed for storage is running low and re-downloading games is too slow. Overall the storage expansion card has a premium feel to it. I do feel like they are charging a bit much for 2tb, but not sure what components are used. Definitely a must to run X/S games
