LOVE, LOVE, LOVE
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I LOVE the sleek look and it is amazing. I originally had one of those over the oven microwave/exhaust. Now I have a real fan and an excellent microwave that is out of the way. I wish I had purchased this when it was first became available.

Many compliments!
||Posted .The microwave drawer looks great in my new kitchen but I miss my old traditional microwave with spinning tray. I feel this drawer does not heat my food evenly. The foot gets very hot on top but the bottom stays cool. The interior space is also short so it will not fit tall items. It’s higher in cost as well but it does the job and looks very nice.

Good Product
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Good product. Pros: Heats evenly. Looks fancy. Has all the options required in a microwave Installed myself, no big deal just requires a bit of research. Cons: The drawer when opening doesn’t stop smooth in the end. If you have a full cup of liquid, it will spill. Installation instruction was pretty clear except the tilt block. Either they should provide one or say what exactly is it. I eventually used a wooden block of 2x4x6.

Nice microwave
||Posted .Great microwave, love the integrated clean look and the drawer vs a swing out door. A bit pricey but worth it for remodel.

Q: QuestionHello, What is the difference between 24" and 30" sharp drawer microwave? both of them are 1.2 cu. ft.
Asked by Sunny.
- A:Answer That Sharp answer was hilarious. What the consumer probably wanted when asking about the 1.2 cu ft capacity, is that the microwave internal cavity is the same size between the 24 and 30 inch models. I've seen both side-by-side in a store. The only difference is that the 30 inch model has a wider door and filler plate on either side of the microwave to cover the extra 3 inches between the 30 inch cabinet cutout and the 24 inch microwave. The 30 inch model looks better when stacked with other 30 inch appliances. If on it's own in a cabinet, say in an island, then the 24" model would use less space.

Q: QuestionSpace for microwave measures 26" long (25" at front lip), 24" deep, and 18" high. Would this microwave fit perfectly in this space? I'm including a photo. Thanks
Asked by Kalee.
- A:Answer Go online and check their website for the product specs which say exactly what dimensions are needed to install. However I would not recommend this microwave to anyone. Doesn't work properly and died within 13 months of usage.

Q: QuestionIf I am removing two drawers and installing this microwave in their place, how does the steam vent out. Do I need to cut a hole somewhere in the cabinet so the steam does not eventually ruin the cabinet underneath?
Asked by Shari.
- A:Answer Hello Shari, for standard installation if installed correctly, with enough space to ventilate the unit will not damage your cabinet. For flushed installation, you should purchase a deflector vent which should help the unit to ventilate properly. Please be advised that there should be no closed cabinet installed directly beneath the unit. Please have your carpenter or installer view the installation manual for proper installation. For further advise please contact us at onlinesupport@sharpsec.com and include the model number in your email.

Q: QuestionWe are looking at the 24 inch drawer microwave. Our opening is 25 7/16" x 17". The 24" drawer microwave will fit. Would we need a trim kit to make it look right?
Asked by MadDog42.
- A:Answer I would think you will need to do something to fill extra space. I too had too large of an opening but the depth was not enough. So we added trim board all the way around to get the depth we needed and to fill the vacant space. We were able to match the paint color of our cabinets. I love the drawer!

Q: QuestionHow does the drawer open? A handle isn't obvious. Do you push to open?
Asked by Concerned.
- A:Answer Hello, the unit does have an open/close button on the control panel. Also, if you wish to manually open the unit you can hold both sides of the drawer and pulls it gently towards you.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between: SMD2470AS SMD2470AH ? THANK YOU!
Asked by Brian.
- A:Answer Hi Brian, the SMD2470AS is a 2014 model and is stainless steel. The SMD2470AH is a 2017 model and is black stainless steel.
Answered by Sharp Advisor
Q: QuestionI am not clear whether I need to use the vent kit for the Sharp SMD2470ASY drawer microwave. I intend to mount the unit "proud" (slight overhang), not flush with cabinet face. Is vent kit necessary for this? Will I get proper venting without vent kit?
Asked by Steve.
- A:Answer Hello Steve, a flush mount kit is required when you are flush mounting the unit. If you are doing a regular installation, this is not required.
