Silent Hill Origins - PSP

Thought I felt the game was too short I understand since it was the first Silent Hill to arrive on the PSP. But other than that, everything about the rich history of the original is captured and there is obvious symbolism throughout the game. If you pay attention especially at the beginning of the game with the old house that catches on fire which is also in the first game but has not been burned down? This makes one think, why? Throughout the the game you will run past similar situations from the first game hence it's label as the precursor of the original. At the same time it is able to capture an original sense of play for itself which makes it more than strong enough to stand on it's own for those few, that may have not have had the opportunity to have played the original. For those that love mystery mixed with suspense and spontanious horror, this game is a homerun. Do yourself a favor and pick this game up for the part inside you that loves to be frightened. I just hope that one day the games of the original and it's sequels will get ported over to the PSP. After all, this is so far the only true survival horror game so far available on the PSP. Not even Resident Evil has yet to find room on the PSP. So why not bring more of the original Silent Hill games to the PSP? Until then (fingers crossed), I will endeavor to persevere and hope that my patience will pay off. But you as a consumer need to know that again this is the only true "Survival Horror" game on the PSP available as of today, 2/15/2008. Enjoy! and be sure to wear headphones and turn the lights off, if you dare!

Silent Hill Origins truly deserves 5 stars. There is no other PSP game that can be this frightful. When I first bought the game, I felt I could handle the horror, but I was wrong. The graphics are excellent, which provides a horrifying atmosphere. The sound also adds to the atmosphere, whenever the static comes onto the radio my heart starts to pound. The gameplay is well done and resembles the PS2 game controls. Overall this game is an outstanding horror-survival game, that makes my hair stand on end. It's so scary that I have to force myself to play. P.S. Don't fight multiple monsters at once because YOU'LL DIE

Yes,Silent Hills is on psp. This game is horrifying,which will give you the goosebumps. The story is scary like in the movie,characters are great and also the world,but here's a little thing I don't like about this game,it's short,but great gameplay.

This game was better than I expected it to be (given that it was on the PSP). The story is very good and creates the atmosphere very well. If you are a fan of the franchise or horror in general I highly recommend this game. The pace is somewhat slower (its no Halo), but in a good way, a nice buildup of persistent creepiness. Combat is somewhat wonky, but thankfully fairly easy so it wont slow you down. Puzzles are fun, and also not too difficult. Took me about 10 hours to solve.

I loved this game...It left me wanting more. While Im new to the Silent Hill games this made me wanting to find the rest of this series. From the very beginning to the very end your left with a sense of someone or something is around the next corner. I highly recommend this one!

Great psp title the camera gets rough at times but then it wouldnt be a silent hill game , would it?

This game is really fun. I find myself getting sucked into the story and it's good to play with the lights down low.
