  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: false (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)
    • Operating Sound Level: 42 decibels adjusted (Today's appliances are pretty quiet. To get a sense for how quiet you'll need, think about having a conversation in the same room. • Steam Cleaning: false (Wash cycle that primarily uses steam to loosen food debris and clean fragile dishware without force.)
    • Steam Pre-Wash: false (Loosens food debris by creating steam inside the washer before the primary wash cycle, allowing for an easier, gentler clean of dishware.)

Q: Does the zeolite crystal drying actually dry the plastics in the dishwasher? Or do you still need to towel dry plastics?

A: It does a much better job than you've experienced before. To completely get it all, you have to do the extended drying cycle if you have the kind of plastics that have ridges or places that are hard to dry using a towel. Those are plastic things that are hard to dry period. I had a GE Monogram that had an extended drying function and this dryer does a better job than the GE did with the extended drying and me not having that on for the Thermador. BTW, this thing is also extremely quite. Net is, it's the dryest I've had things come out but some plastic items are just hard to dry because of how they are built.

Q: Does this model have a food grinder?

A: No. I think GE is the only one that has a model with a food grinder. A dishwasher cannot be as quiet as most people like and still have a food grinder.

Q: Will it dry dishes within the normal time cycle if you have a Tankless Water Heater?

A: Hi Caramel, thank you for your question and interest in Model:DWHD770WFP. Per the Installation Guide for this Model: The hot water heater should be set to deliver approximately 120° F (49° C) water to the dishwasher. Water that is too hot can cause some detergents to lose effectiveness. Lower water temperatures will increase run times. The hot water supply pressure must be between 15 - 145 psi (1 - 10 bar). Also, this Dishwasher has - StarDry™ with Zeolite: the ultra-powerful program that dries dishes better so place settings, glassware, and even sturdy plastics and containers with hard-to-reach crevices are ready for use immediately after each cycle.

Q: does this dishwasher have a self cleaning feature like the Miele?

A: Yes. With this being connected to an app, they can add additional settings and literally last week we got an email that added a self-cleaning cycle as well as an ultra-quiet cycle which must be really silent because the things is already very quiet by default.
