It's Somewhat Next-Gen
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Honestly, what do you expect? It's next-gen. The console itself to begin with looks like some type of alien object that's casually placed in your living room. The controller is fantastic, much bigger so it can grip in my hands properly now. I always liked the PS4 controller but now holding this I can see how much less of a controller it is compared to the PS5's. Lastly, you honestly won't get the full next-gen experience until HDMI 2.1 4k monitors come out that runs over 120hz. So if money is a little tight I would wait till it dies down. Not worth paying over retail for this console. So if you were thinking of buying it from those scalpers don't.

Amazing console!
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This console really is next gen! It has an inbuilt mic in the controller, some games can run at 120fps, and the new controller’s haptic feedback is really cool. The side panels are easy to remove so you can customize them if you choose to do so. %99 of PS4 games are backwards compatible with the PS5 and some of them are improved on the new console. I would %100 recommend this console to anyone that is interested in it!

Great Console if you're able to get one
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5It was quite difficult to pre-order the PS5, but I truly lucked out because even with all the restocks certain retailers have had... it is still unbelievably hard to place the order. I hope anyone that still wants one gets one soon. The PS5 has ran beautifully so far from what I've experienced. The set up was of course easy and fast. The new UI is smooth and I definitely like it more than the old one on the PS4. The Dualsense Controller is AMAZING. It is probably the next best thing (only second to the console itself) with the way it works. It's not as slippery like the Dualshock and feels great in hand. Even after hours of gaming, I did not feel any fatigue in my hands. The battery life is probably similar to its predecessor. The game to show off the controllers features is fun. Hopefully game developers will take advantage of it in the future. Overall, the console runs very smoothly and I have not experienced any sort of loudness with it. I have yet to hear the fan running when I'm playing with graphic intensive game. I do recommend when playing games, to choose performance over the resolution. You will absolutely get a higher FPS and I think it just runs a lot better that way. I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to experience next gen even though we've just merely begun to play those games.

Truly a next-gen console
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Is console is truly the greatest thing since sliced bread. Yes, it is bulky. And yes it will have your wife give you an evil eye over its placement. Yet, it is by far the truest next gen experience in a console I've ever witnessed. It is quiet, quick, it's controllers are absolutely the most exhilarating controller experience out there to date. Another thing that makes this console so different is the dedicated audio engine and hardware. 3D headsets truly come alive with this console. The only minor inconvenience has been the download speed a PlayStation 4 titles. For some reason PS5 titles load in about 15 minutes or less while you're playing a game. But PlayStation 4 titles take much longer to load with a lot of pauses in the download bar. Not a deal breaker though because there aren't that many PS4 titles I want to carry over.

Get it if you can
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5What can I say? It does exactly what its supposed to, love playing games like WRC9 and FIFA21 on it, the controller functions are so cool especially with WRC9, trust me. Well worth the money, considering it has all the media apps you could ever dream of as well. Bought an aftermarket skin for it which looks cool as well, thought you all would want to see. Don't forget to pick up that 2nd controller separately if you plan to play with someone else.

New and refreshing
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Overall I'll say it's a great system gives you that new car smell vs the Xbox series x (I own also). At time I wish I would have went with the disc version just tk have the option to try out games or for short term play. The size is quite massive, little fan noise compared to the series x. But so far so good no complaints. Just wish they would hurry up with the storage expansion update.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5What is there to say? Its Playstation. They've been killing it for years. This is the best one yet. This one I bought for my brother. I got one from another store on the first wave. Super quiet and the graphics are out of this world. The dualsense is the perfect controller. Looking forward to all the great games that are coming out in the next few years. Its the only place to play.

THE Console to get!
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I have enjoyed this console very much since it was released on. 11/12/20. I purchased this one from Best Buy for my son for Christmas. The PS5 has become the central entertainment device in our household since we got it. Is has not disappointed us quality wise in anyway. The graphics are absolutely beautiful in 4K. Gaming is incredible! The only downside of this new console is that there are no games available to truly make use of the consoles capabilities. There are some PS4 games that have PS5 upgrades that look absolutely amazing on the PS5. Call of Duty COLD WAR is not currently working very well on the PS5. It crashes constantly. Keep this in mind if you are planning on it being your main game to play. Modern Warefare has a 26ish GB upgrade to PS5. It looks amazing on PS5. All in all I do not regret in anyway getting the Sony Playstation 5. I would recommend it very highly!

Q: QuestionHow dare they say that the PS5 is going to get 120fps when clearly 95% of all TVs won't go over 60fps? Pure fact: HDMI only can get 60fps max. The only input that will allow that is HDMI 2.1 and guess what guys your TV doesn't have one. Time for a new TV
Asked by HDMIpro.
- A:Answer Looks like we're going have to dish out a few thousand dollars for a new TV, thanks technology! Everyone that thinks that you're just going to plug the PS5 in and get top quality picture and frames you got another thing coming... Max frames you'll get is 60 and you'll be lucky to get that high.

Q: QuestionIf you can’t handle pre orders and do it correctly then don’t attempt. The experience, execution and lack of customer service is ridiculous. Thanks for messing it up for lots of people. Fantastic.....
Asked by Anynomous.
- A:Answer I do agree, - though not perhaps with your delivery- all these retailers could figure out a better system by now for preorders. Along with the manufacturer, I suppose. It always seems like the right hand is not speaking with the left. Sony stated pre orders will go live on 9-17. Retailers said, nah we’re posting them now 9-16. Before that Sony clearly stated months ago that we would have weeks notice of when pre orders would go live. It would not be like years past. Nice finally! ... We got a day, and ended up not even getting that. Most likely due to Xbox being forced to announce early due to leaks. All of this causes bottle necked pandemonium, supply shortages - artificial or not - and a fever pitch of excitement, demand, and dozens of articles all telling you where you can get one, * maybe. That’s the game. And most likely what they want or certainly don't mind anyway. We just have to accept it. Annoying as it may be, I certainly don’t have time for it anymore. I’ll get one eventually. You will too. Keep an eye out for the next round of pre orders. Sony will want as many in before launch day as humanly possible, believe me.
