Speck - Presidio CLEAR Case for Samsung Galaxy Note8 Cell Phones - Clear

I've dropped my phone (Note 8) on concrete at least twice and this case has protected my phone from getting smashed corners, etc. However, it does not protect the screen well and one time I dropped it on a steel grate surface, it would have shattered the screen except for the glass cover that shattered instead. These protectors for the Note 8 cover the top and bottom edges of the phone well but the left and right sides are low to enable you to reach around the curved screen. That exposes the edges of the screen and the face of the screen to potential damage. This particular product lets me see the nice blue color of my phone and it has protected it well so far but you have to use a glass screen protector as well so it can absorb the energy of any drops. Unfortunately, those screen covers also have issues due to the curves edges - they let lots of dust under the cover.

It's a no frills type of case. I got one for my Galaxy Note 8, and it works as it should. It's clear, has a bumper style edge, and nothing that goes over the screen, so if you're wanting screen protection as well you have to buy it secondary. Case seems sturdy enough, the clear plastic is hard but has a very very slight rubbery feel which would pad the phone in case of fall. The area for the stylus is just a recessed whole same for the charging port mic, speakers, and earphone jack. This also covers the buttons of the phone with a clear rubber overlay that doesn't seem to take away from the pushing of them at all. Knocked a star off because this case does not allow for wireless charging.

I really liked this case. It was decently priced until I found out that the phone didn't come with it. I mean, who buys a phone case without the phone? That's sorta like buying shoes that don't have feet in them. Who does that? So, anyway... yeah, the case is good. It's clear so you get to see the pretty color of the phone you bought (because why else would you buy a colored phone?). It goes on easy, comes off easy, and just generally does a good job of protecting the phone from scratches, dents, and earthquakes*. So I'd totally say get this phone case if you have the phone already. Because it totally doesn't come with the phone. *product not tested during an earthquake, that is purely subjective as the buyer of the product lives in an earthquake-free zone.

I used to only use an Otterbox for my phones. I've just dropped them too many times in the past to have to worry about a cheap case. But I hated the bulk of the Otterbox. My BestBuy Mobile rep turned me on to this one. I LOVE it. It holds up well and does a great job of protecting my phone (Believe me, it's been dropped a number of times). IT's much easier to get on and off than the Otterbox ever was. I like the clear so that the color of my phone now shows thru.To me it's a bit high priced but I guess I'm willing to pay it for the protection.

It's pretty strongly built, couple of falls later my phone is still intact, that's good because for $900+ phone,that's what you want. I feel it's much more expansive though. I guess the price tag is decided based on marketing value of phone. My wife has Xperia XZ premium and it's case costed $10 only and has all the features this case offers, this costed me over $40. Black Friday deals will have 50% off, I will definitely recommend it at that price. Pros: Does very well what is supposed to do. Cons: Adds bulk to the phone weight Costly

I almost didn't buy this case because I was planning on getting a cheap one on the street for like 10 bucks but the best buy associate explained to me that those cheap ones are for decoration and they don't really protect the phone if you drop it by accident or anything. Since I didn't have the money to get insurance I decided to invest in a real protective case, and I have to say, it has been worth every penny. This is coming from someone who doesn't make a lot of money,so every dollar counts, and I would still recommend this without hesitation especially if you can't afford the insurance.

Not the sexiest case, but it gets the job done. Its sturdy, yet light weight. This is a clear case so any small foreign particle can be seen through it and on the phone back. I must have had a cookie or something in my purse at one point or another. I see a few crumbs between the case and the phone back. I am a big fan of Speck cases though, they protect phones very well. Got mine on sale at Best Buy for around $20, which was wonderful.

I got the clear one for my blue Note8...It served me very well for about a year when the casing around the charger started coming apart. But it did its job well through many drops and falls (even with the broken piece), and I replaced it with another one I found on sale at Best Buy. Yes, it got dirty and even yellowed a little with age, but it kept my phone safe. Too bad I didn't have it on when my phone vibrated off the charger and hit a table leg...
