Star Wars Squadrons
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. For those of you who are confused about the cover, it says VR but you can still play it without having a VR setup, it plays really great on my ps4 pro, for the past couple of games from EA this year has been really great without loot boxes and not being forcing to play online only, I think they're trying to get back into everyone's good grace's
I would recommend this to a friendRating 5 out of 5 stars with 1 review

Fun arcade style flying game, VR is amazing
|Posted .Pros mentioned:Fun, WarfareCons mentioned:Boring, Controls, MissionsI would recommend this to a friendThis is a very entertaining arcade Star Wars space combat game. There is some depth to the game, as each star ship has their own strengths and unique capabilities, which is good for those interested in multiplayer. For single campaign game players, it is neat having to pilot each ship for their specific missions. The single player campaign game is also really neat in having to play both the rebel and Imperial sides. Being able to walk around the hangar and to the briefing room is also neat, as they did a good job in making the player feel like they are on the spaceship. The problem with this game is the horrible controls in trying to fly using the analog control sticks (L3 and R3 buttons). The wonky controls make it difficult to chase or tail an opponent in the space dogfights. Also goofy is how the spaceships simply can throttle down to zero and come to a complete stop and u-turn, with doesn’t make any sense as the spacecraft all have forward thrust, not backwards thrust. The controls and sudden stops makes the dogfighting really frustrating, especially since the Thrustmaster PS4 flight stick is out of stock. Having a flight stick would have made the flying experience much more enjoyable. Being an arcade style game, some of the missions can be senseless tedious and frustrating. One mission is where one has to power slide, which is a neat trick, but doesn’t need to be used when playing the game. Players waste their time trying to complete a senseless video game move. Another frustrating mission is trying to ambush a group of escaping rebel ships. The problem is that the arcade style targeting doesn’t clearly display the mines that will be used to ambush them. The player has to frustratingly scramble to identify which ones and try to detonate them to complete the mission and the game. What is a big strength of this game is the VR mode. It is truly immersive and flying a tie and x-wing fighter in VR mode, the cockpits looked very real. Unfortunately, the VR motion might make one motion sick. Unfortunately, I had to stop playing in VR due to motion sickness, but was still able to finish the campaign game in regular mode. Overall this is an entertaining game to play. One can look on youtube for multiplayer games and how capture the flag/ destroying the opponent’s capital spaceship has evolved.

Jump in that X-Wing
|Posted .Owned for 4 months when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendLet's be honest, EA has some hits and misses on making Star Wars games. This one is a hit. It sets out to do one thing and does it well. The campaign is enjoyable and the multiplayer is super fun. The strategy added into the flying by having you divert power to different sub-systems adds the perfect level of complexity and variety. The ability to play in VR is awesome. Great game, would recommend for Star Wars fans and space fighting fans alike.

Must Have Game for VR Enthusiasts!
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendThis game is a must have for any VR headset owner! I do not have a HOTAS setup, however I've been playing with the PSVR and DualShock 4 setup, and it's incredibly immersive. Being able to look around the inside of a TIE Fighter or an X-Wing is a childhood dream come true. Systems are a bit more complex than what I would have expected, and there's a bit of strategic thinking required when it comes to how to approach each unique situation. I haven't even played multiplayer yet, but I'm really looking forward to it.

FINALLY!
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendBought it for my ps5. It looks and plays amazing. I really feel like I'm piloting a tie fighter when playing and gets dizzying sometimes. Glad to finally have a game like this. The game arrived quickly, the day after release and was packed well. Best Buys communication from the time of purchase, through delivery, and even after having it is by far the best, quickest, reliable place that I've purchased from online hands down, which has lead to me using them for many things in the recent month that I usually would have used amazon for. Definitely recomend and I will keep using them.

The Force is strong with this one...
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendAmazing. Before this game came out, the best experience I'd had in VR was the standalone VR mission they released for Battlefront. And this takes it to an entirely different level. But you don't need VR to enjoy this game. VR is just the bacon on top of the icing on top of an already awesome cake. The iconic sounds of the screaming Tie-Fighters, the laser blasts, and strafing a Star Destroyer? Yes. Please. Thank you.

Not a bad game to pass the time.
|Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendGreat premise for the game. It takes a little getting used to as far as the controls are concerned. However, the in game flight graphics take you back to the old PC X-Wing game at a much more detailed level. The menus leave a bit to be desired as well as some of the cutscenes and interaction outside of the cockpit. Overall a fun game to play to pass the time. Not used with the VR system. So I am probably missing out on some features such as looking around. With the standard play you have a front view only.
