Nice lens for the price

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:PriceI don't make money with my photos, so the Tamron 70-200mm is a much more affordable option for me. I think that this is an excellent lens. I rarely took it off my camera until I purchased the Nikon 200-500mm. I've used it to take my son's and niece's senior portraits. I would recommend this lens.

Tamron rocks it with this lens

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Bokeh, Focus, Picture qualityWarning, I am a bit of a Tamron fan. They are considerably less expensive than oem lenses, are well made, have the ability to work with a hub for firmware updates and focus tweaking....but i havent had to do ANYTHING with these lenses on a Nikon body. I recently switched from Canon to Nikon, replacing my beloved 90mm Macro, 24-70 and 70-200 Tamron lenses and they are all spot on. I kind of feel like I wasted 60 bucks on the Tap-in console. :) The 70-200 is a great all around lens. Is very fast and is incredibly sharp with its VC vibration control. Excellent bokeh and subject isolation and the color rendering is so good with Tamrons lens coatings. Highly recommended.

as advertised
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI’ve been contemplating the 70-200 for quite some time. Constantly comparing the Nikon vs. tamron. I recently had chance to use the Nikon when a friend rented for a trip to Yellowstone. It was super impressive, with all the positives that have been reviewed to death. However, I just couldn’t justify double the $$$. Took a chance that the tamron would be as impressive, and the answer is ABSOLUTELY. It took a little adjustment to get a feel for the location of zoom and focus rings (reversed compared to Nikon), but now it’s all good. Overall, absolutely no regrets. It has me seriously thinking about other non-Nikon lenses.
Q: QuestionWhy can Best Buy not answer the question? It is in stock at other vendors..Why not Best Buy?
Asked by KPSRA.
- A:Answer I actually went to the local store and asked..they had no real answer to give me and left with no help in solving this problem. I next called the Customer service line and asked if it would ever be in stock (because I think sometimes it says Backordered and this one does not...it says SOLD OUT). I was told it would be in stock but no time was ever given or estimated..I assume it will never be as all other vendors I looked at had it. So I just bought it at BH and BestBuy lost the sale.

Q: QuestionWhich is beteer Sigma or tamron 70-200mm?
Asked by Bryan.
- A:Answer I have been told that the Sigma is not as good as Tamron but I have not used a sigma. What I can say is that I FINALLY got a Tamron 70-200 2.8 G2 and LOVE IT! I have rented the Nikon Version as well and although there is a small amount of difference.... it's not $1300 worth if you are on a budget! Hope this helps

Q: QuestionWhat is the comparison to the Nikon version since this lens is a grand cheaper?
Asked by Chase.
- A:Answer I have owed both and still own both. I use mine for outdoor portraits at f2.8. For my purpose they are not equal in image quality. No ikon does focus just a hair quicker, but for my purpose not $1,000 quicker. Hav e been shooting Nikon since 1977.

Q: QuestionDoes this lens compatible with my nikon d5600?
Asked by Beto.
- A:Answer Yes it is. But it will be a 135-330mm~ lens due to the crop sensor. I can remember the exact focal length but it’s a quick web search.
