Standard Cable locking device for Laptops, BUT it did not fit my HP Pavillion Laptop lock slot! (circa 2017)
Tried it on 3 different laptops, and it worked perfectly. (Dell, HP etc)
The issue is, I am assuming is when I insert the tab in the slot, it does not fully "seat" and the clearance is too " tight" on the case for the tab to turn 90 degrees to let the dials spin freely?
I don't yet have another laptop lock to double check this.
I must have have installed 20 cable locks over the years in my IT job and never had this issue.
I'm thinking so far it is an laptop issue and not a locking cable issue, but these devices are not theft proof, you can still rip out the lock by a couple of hard tugs and wreaking the case, but in some cases the laptop in fully usable, just not very presentable. There are other ways to defeat these locks, but won't get into this here.
Hence the 4 stars, keeps the honest people honest and makes you think do you want to go thru the trouble of stealing this laptop? :)
