Q: Can it be wall or desk mounted like under the desk ?

A: Yes it can.

Q: What is the maximum wattage this power strip can handle? I want to use it to power and control a portable heater in a vacation cabin.

A: I would recommend against running any kind of heater from a surge protector. Even though it’s a smart plug, it’s still a potential fire hazard to use it for a heater. I tried a space heater off a single smart plug that was of sufficient wattage capability and it ended up blowing the plug and rendering it useless. The heater was 1500 and the plug was about 1800.

Q: Can I use this with a 5.0GHz wifi router, if not is it even possible. I need one ASAP!!

A: Yes, you can.

Q: If I am on the same network (192.168.1.xxx) in my home with the power strip and my telephone - Can I control the power strip with my phone if I lose internet service to the world? My internet service to the world is sporadic.

A: You can control this power strip through the Kasa app but only if your power strip is connected to the internet. If you have timers and schedules set up they will still work without being connected to the internet.

Q: Can you turn on each plug individually?

A: Yes, you can turn on/off the power individually using the Kasa app or with your Amazon device (Alexa).

Q: Is there a web based interface for control or do you just have the app?

A: Hi! There is not a web-based management interface; the Kasa Smart WiFi Power Strip is designed for use and management via the Kasa app on your smartphone.

Q: will this work with samsung smart things app?

A: You will need to download the Kasa app to control the outlets.

Q: Does this power strip sense when a device like a tv is off and shut off all power to the device?

A: Yes, with some leg work. The plug can tell how much is being drawn power wise and how long it's been on for as well as integrate into IFTTT or Google Home to trigger actions
