Verizon Wireless Prepaid - Samsung Illusion No-Contract Mobile Phone - Platinum

This is a great first smartphone for my teen & quite frankly anyone who isn't obsessed with having the latest technology or the "It" phone. The Samsung Illusion is a 3G Android smartphone that is fast & has pretty good reception being that its on the Verizon network. I see the description states its only compatible with the $80 unlimited smartphone plan, but he uses the $60 unlimited smartphone plan with this phone (don't know why this says $80). It was much cheaper to get this smartphone with the $60 flat unlimited smartphone plan than obligating to a multi-year contract where the monthly charges would have been the same or more. This phone is priced very well for what you get. My son has had it for a couple of months & likes it, no complaints.

If you need a good smart phone at a good price, this is it. I have no complaints, phone is easy to use, and works well. This phone is fine for the needs of the majority of users at a good price. This phone works great as a phone, excellent for searching information on the internet, and even functions as a mobile hot spot for other devices. Also takes good pictures and video. Easy to learn, very intuitive. Verizon service works well where other providers I have owned did not work at all. I held out a long time to buy a smart phone, and I am pleased with this purchase. I rarely write reviews, but am compelled to in this instance due to my overall satisfaction with this product.

This is my first smartphone and it's a good beginner phone. I first purchased the Samsung prepaid just below this one and it was terrible--like a toy and just plain awful. This one is more substantial and is easy to navigate and use for txting, calling, email, is voice activated and other pluses. The only thing that REALLY bugs me is I've had two calls when I pressed the end call button and the call didn't end. I only found this out after I went on to have a conversation about something and the person starts yelling that they can still hear me and they are on the line. Yes, awkward, to say the least. Terrible.

this is my second smart phone and by far the better of the 2. easy to use and handle. would recommend to novice or expert. for the price, it cant be beat.

my wife wanted this phone because she like touch screens and liked the look of this phone. this phone has worked very well for her and she likes the texting on it also. she dont get on the apps or net so i cannot say how well those things are.

Overall good phone. I would have preferred one a little larger and easier to type on. Like the swipe entry mode better than the manual typing. Really like the calendar. Camera not bad but no flash. Good starter if unsure if want to commit to a smartphone and plan.

I would buy another one and probably will for our daughter when she eventually loses her more expensive one that functions just the same as this one.

This is my first smart phone and I very please with the performance of the phone. Sound quality is great, picture quality is better than I expected. The only downside to the phone is the keyboard, which is too small for my fingers.
