Bought a second one!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a second one of these drives. They pretty much nailed it. Using on a mac for large storage needs that an SSD would simply be too either expensive or unavailable. Setup was nearly instant and no issues with either drive. Thx Best Buy!

Love my WD Easystore
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always been a big fan of Western Digital, both as a investor and purchase of its portable drives. The Easystore is no different. And it's a long way from my WD 500GB drive at twice the price many years ago! Super easy to install and nowadays we can connect our Cloud data and manage it with Easystore.

For Recent PC's Only -Small Size - Decent Capacity
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice small footprint on this Hard Drive. Virtually plug N Play if you have the newest hardware & software. Pity it cant be used with Windows Vista and previous 'FAT' file systems as I wanted to directly back-up my retired PC's before they are recycled so I still chose/ had to use thumb drives to transfer to a compatible PC first before savi g on this srorage drive. If you are fairly new to PCs and have all new (1-5 years) equipment you should be fine. I have been archiving since Windows 3.1 so some of my file systems are antiquainted.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Directions were very straight forward almost self-explanatory. Q: QuestionIs there a real difference between the Easystore and the My Passport models besides the Hardware Encryption (which I have no clue what that does) and the Password Protection? Just trying to justify spending less money if I can. TIA.
Asked by doajeff.
- A:Answer 5TB PASSPORT is Designed for Mac and Time Machine ready USB-C and USB-A compatible Password protection + 256-bit hardware encryption Up to 5TB capacity Slim design Easy to use 3-year limited warranty Trusted drive built with WD reliability WD Discovery software for WD Security, Social Media and Cloud Storage import and WD Drive Utilities Superspeed USB port; USB 2.0 compatible I am with you.. they are both Great Hard drives and if all you are doing is storing YOUR stuff than the easy store is the best deal. That said you get an extra year warranty password protection and the 5tb passport does work with Time machine. I own both only because at the time, one was a better buy than the other when i needed space. Really the speed of transfer and reliability is the same.

Q: QuestionIs this compatible with an xbox one thanks
Asked by 9251214.
- A:Answer Yes it is. That was the whole reason I purchased mine. 500gb xbox was full and had to delete games every time an update or new game came out. Easy to use just plug it in and follow the onscreen instructions.

Q: QuestionCan I use this to store Xbox games on?
Asked by CaptMagic.
- A:Answer Yes you can use it for Xbox games but you will have to plug in the drive to the Xbox and have the Xbox format the drive the drive will no longer be usable for anything else except Xbox until you format it again erasing everything on it. for instance when you upgrade to a new system and no longer need it on the Xbox or just decide to connected to a computer.
