Features
Tap touch controls
Clean these controls as easily as you use them.
Flexible loading options
Adjustable upper basket, folding tines, removable upper basket, 3rd rack and AnyWare silverware basket.
24-hour delay-start
Lets you set the dishwasher to start running while you're working, sleeping or running errands.
Accommodates up to 15 place settings
Generous interior space means more clean dishes, fewer loads.
In-Door Silverware basket
Frees up rack space by easily fitting on the front of the lower rack or in the door to make room for more dishes.
Third level rack
Allows you to load more dishes and get extra room for hard to fit items.
Stainless steel tub
Promotes drying by retaining heat from wash and rinse cycles. Plus, it cools faster than the dishes so moisture can condense on the interior walls and not the dishes.
TotalCoverage spray arm
Cleans with twice the jets for more coverage. A smarter sequence of spray patterns from multiple nozzles hits dishes throughout the cycle.
High temperature wash option
Gives items like baby bottles, glassware or dishes a more thorough clean.
Energy Star Certified
Energy Star certified models exceed government standards to help save money on your utility bills.
Heated dry option
Use a clean, dry dish straight from the dishwasher thanks to added heat for drying. For optimal drying results, use this option with rinse aid.
Sensor Cycle
Automatically selects the right wash and dry settings for your load by using two separate sensors to measure temperature, soil level and load size once during the prewash and once during the wash cycle.
Normal Cycle
Use for normal amounts of food soil to clean up leftover messes from your day-to-day meals.
1-Hour Wash Cycle
Cleans dishes in half the time compared to normal cycle with lightly soiled loads so your plates, pans and glasses are thoroughly cleaned up and taken care of in just an hour.
Heavy Cycle
Take care of heavily-soiled messes and other hard-to-clean dishes without the extra elbow grease by adding extra time to the cycle.
Dishwasher hookup kit is sold separately and is not included.
Required for Installation: All dishwasher purchases require a dishwasher hookup kit be purchased from Best Buy. Without a hookup kit, your installation will not be completed. Find a hookup kit in the accessories section on this page.

Almost perfect
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Love the look. Love the style. Love the 3rd shelf on top. It cleans everything well. The only thing I don’t love is the SMELL. If you put any dirty dishes in there for even a half day. Like you better be ready to run it! Otherwise, it’s very quiet and it’s all dry after a cycle.

Extremely Quiet!!!!!
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This is the most quietest dishwasher I have ever had and it cleans all dishes pots pans and Utensils perfectly. If you cook all the time and have so many dishes like I do? I do recommend to sanitize clean your washer at least once a week with the Afresh tablets it’s worth it. I also leave the empty dishwasher ajar when not in use so it won’t have an odor. My favorite is the third rack so much you can do. I love the the utensil rack is on the door but not all utensils fit but once you open the racks all utensils will fit.

Quiet Dishwasher
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This dishwasher is very quiet. I like the black stainless steel finish. I was worried because it didn't have the fingerprint resistant surface. That doesn't seem to be an issue. It stays pretty clean with two kids. I sometimes hit the buttons when I'm loading it but that's only mildly annoying. My biggest issue is with where the detergent compartment is located. Since the silverware holder is in the door, it's difficult to get it out when it's full because it hits into the detergent compartment. I would still recommend the dishwasher though.

Glad we chose this model!
||Posted .Owned for 2 months when reviewed. We love this Whirlpool dishwasher! The 3 racks come in handy and it cleans beautifully. It runs so quietly that we had to make sure it was really washing at first! Also, even though it takes over 3 hours from start to finished drying in the normal wash to save water, we also like that it has a 1-hour option when you have those days when you are cooking a lot. Top all of that off with the excellent fingerprint resistant stainless steel and it’s an unbeatable combination.

SHH... QUIET
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This dishwasher is the quietest I’ve ever owned and I’m 61. The 3rd rack is convenient and the adjustable 2nd rack makes it even better! A lot of reviews mention drying issues... you must use a good rinse/dry aid in ALL new High efficiency dishwashers! I am very happy with my purchase and Best Buy installation was outstanding.

Great Dishwasher Very Quiet
||Posted .So far I am very pleased with this dishwasher. This is the first week I've had it. I used the Best Buy installers and haul away service. The installers were very professional and quick. What I love about my new dishwasher: - Extremely quiet - don't really need the delay feature. The only somewhat noisy part is the gurgling when it drains. - Upper third rack for my good knives, large utensils, container lids and anything else you don't want getting lost during the cycle - Adjustable upper rack. I lower it for our stemware and raise it when I have large, tall items in the lower rack. - Stainless Steel Interior - Stemware "stabilizer" holders in upper rack to keep stemware in place - Smudge resistant finish - Glasses, dishes and flatware come out sparkling clean. I used manufacturer recommended products. Samples come with the dishwasher installation. (see below) Things to consider: - Plastic containers don't dry all the way even with high heat option - Manufacturer recommends Cascade Platinum pellets which are expensive - Manufacturer recommends rinse aide for every cycle - Manufacturer recommends "Afresh" to be used once per month to keep hard water deposits from building up. We have very hard water and can tell from the deposits on all of our faucets and fixtures. I didn't use the recommended products on my old dishwasher and probably should have. I guess you either pay along the way to keep the hard water from ruining appliances or buy appliances more frequently. I'm going to use Afresh for my washer too. I hope this helps.

Love my new dishwasher!
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I was so used to my Frigidaire dishwasher I was worried I’d have a hard time getting used to a new one. But I’ve had it about a month and it works great! It even dries my Tupperware on the top shelf! My old one always left things wet so I had to dry them off. I love the third rack for measuring spoons, knives, spatulas, etc. you can fit a lot up there. The only thing I wish it had was a little bigger utensil baskets. They are a little small and deep. I don’t put them in the little slots one by one. And I don’t get the utensil holder on the door???? We put it on the side. I can get way more dishes in this dishwasher than my old one and I believe they are the same dimensions. I just like how the racks are configured. Even without the installation package I think it is a little pricey, but it seems to be good quality.

Win Some, Lose Some
Posted .With every new generation of appliances, you're always hoping and wishing for a product to "move the needle" forward, and be more effective than the previous generation. But with some things, it's hard to do that. This dishwasher falls in that camp when it comes to CLEANING. It only moves the needle in quietness and usability (space for stuff and ease of control usage). I had a Whirpool dishwasher previously that was ~10 years old and worked just fine, cleaning super dirty dishes well. This unit cleans equally as well. So long as you use enough soap, load properly, and use hot-enough water (making sure you run the faucet water until hot enough ---120 degrees F or greater!) then you'll be satisfied with the cleanliness of these dishes. Just like in the past, super stuck on stuff isn't coming off, etc. But, in order to achieve that super quiet design (my older unit was like a plane taking off!) they got rid of the food grinder. This means that now, sometimes I have little food bits lurking in the unit after the wash is done. The dishes are clean but corn niblets are on the door, or on the floor, etc. It's weird. But it sure is nice being able to hold a conversation while the unit is running! You'll definitely still hear this unit while it's running, by the way, but it's much quieter. I can hear a motor humming (slightly louder than the fridge, for example) but it's not awful. And the usability is primo! My old unit used to fill up so quickly because it only had two shelves. That third shelf is great for all my cooking implements and my tupperware lids...freeing up way more space down below for other goodies. And I love that you can adjust the height of the 2nd level shelf, another great bonus. Finally, the controls are a breeze to operate, but I would have preferred physical buttons to these capacitive touch buttons. The cap-touch buttons don't work if your fingers are wet, which is typically the case when I'm loading the washer...this necessitates the step of drying off the top panel and my fingers in order to make my selections. But it looks sleek, is obvious and clear to use, and works well.

Q: QuestionDon't the racks adjust??? The sprayer arm is hitting my normal sized dinner plates on the lower level, and there is NOTHING mentioned in the online user manual, which I printed (8 pages) about how to adjust the height.
Asked by Perplexed.
- A:Answer Hello Perplexed! Per page 11 of the Use and Care Guide: EZ-2-Lift™ Top Rack Adjuster: You can raise or lower the top rack to fit tall items in either the top or bottom rack. Adjusters are located on each side of the top rack. To raise the rack: Press both rack adjuster thumb levers and lift the rack until it is in the up position and level. To lower the rack: Press both rack adjuster thumb levers and slide the rack to its down position and level. NOTE: The top rack must be level.

Q: QuestionRecently had this dishwasher installed and am not satisfied due to “roofing tar” odor stinking entire home. Bitumen insulation aka roofing tar is the problem. Any SS dishwasher not have this toxic stuff? What type plastic are the plastic tubs DW made of?
Asked by JimBo.
- A:Answer Whirlpool avoided the question. Yes the tub material is stainless steel that has BITUMEN INSULATION ON THE OUTSIDE!

Q: QuestionDoes everyone like the 3rd rack or is it useless? Is the upper basket deeper in the models without the 3rd rack? By tall glasses do you mean more than 16 oz? Is the filter easy to remove and do you wash it or replace it?
Asked by Jsadka1.
- A:Answer 3rd rack is useful for large knives and utensils. Upper rack is adjustable and accommodate large glasses by adjusting it to the lower position. The filter is easily removable and can be washed.

Q: QuestionI know this particular dishwasher does not have the finger print resistant coating. How does this Whirpool hold up to fingerprints and smudges without it? Does it stay fairly clean?
Asked by Melissa.
- A:Answer Melissa, I absolutely love this dishwasher. I was concerned about that as well when I was looking to purchase this dishwasher. I have an 8 year old that helps out in the kitchen with the dishes and I've had no issues with fingerprints or smudges.
