A: Yes it comes with 1 intake hose and 1 exhaust hose...depending on the setup you want...everything is included.
Q: Does this unit function as a heat pump or is it resistance heat only?
A: This unit functions as a heat pump. It relatively quiet. On the heat setting it uses less energy by about 250 watts.
Q: When I purchase this item can I transport it laying down in my car
A: It's recommended that the item be upright but if it needs to be laid down for transport, please allow it to sit upright for 24 hours before turning it on.

A: Look at your thermostat setting.. Your unit is running constantly which means either your setting is too low for the unit or your trying to cool too large an area for that size unit
Q: Does the compressor cycle off when it has reached the set temperature?
A: Once the required temperature is reached, the unit cycles on and off to maintain the temperature set.
Q: what is the length of the power cord
A: About 6feet
A: The included window kit is designed to fit most standard vertically or horizontally sliding windows and measures, 6.5" W x 20" L (minimum), 46" (maximum) x 3/4" D (thickness).
Since windows come in different sizes, some customization may be needed when installing the accessories. If the included solid window kit slide bar panels do not completely cover your window or door opening, most customers purchase an additional window kit and use both sets. Alternately, a customized longer solid slide bar panel can be made by cutting Plexiglas or PVC plastic to size to be used with the panel with the hose cut outs of the original window kit.
