One of the most traditional--and time-honored--designs for simply and easily extracting a cork from its bottle, the cellar corkscrew operates by inserting the auger-style worm into the cork and gently twisting the handle in a clockwise direction. Then, when the worm is fully inserted in the cork, simply flip the handle and continue turning in the same direction. With a minimum of effort, the cork is gently pulled from the bottle.
