    Features

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life Launch Edition

Includes the Game which is delivered in a Hardcover Art Book Package.

In Yakuza 6, Kazuma Kiryu will find out exactly how much people are willing to sacrifice for family - be those ties through blood or bond - when he investigates a series of shadowy events that involve the ones he holds closest to his heart

From the unparalleled realism of the new setting of Onomichi, a beautiful, sleepy port town in Hiroshima Prefecture, to the latest evolution of Kamurocho, the biggest red-light district in Tokyo

Enter the "Dragon Engine" - Explore the world of Yakuza like never before. Yakuza 6 is the first current-gen Yakuza title that was developed from the ground up for the PS4

Introducing the seedy Japanese underworld with detailed visuals, lifelike animations, a new physics engine, interactive storefronts, seamless transitions and more

Explore Kamurocho reborn and the scenic views of Onomichi - The hypnotic lights, opportunistic inhabitants, and hedonistic distractions of Kamurocho look better than ever

Revamped minigames like karaoke, hostesses, and more, have been streamlined for maximum pleasure, and new additions like the RIZAP Gym, Cat Café, and Clan Creator are the purrfect distractions after a long night of bashing heads!

It's time to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life to play tourist in beautiful Onomichi. This tranquil coastal community is home to plenty of local activities like bar mingling, spearfishing, and more!

Let the bodies hit the floor - Yakuza 6 Kiryu is a battle-hardened veteran when it comes to the art of street fighting. Although he utilizes one fighting style this time around, you best believe Kiryu hits like a truck

Devastating combos and bone-breaking Heat Actions make a return, but now the Dragon of Dojima can fill up a meter to engage Extreme Heat Mode. When activated, Kiryu glows blue and unleashes heavy-damage combos

Fully voiced japanese audio - For the first time in series history, every line and piece of dialogue is fully voiced in Japanese. Let the dramatic story and absurd humor of the series unfold like an interactive foreign film experience

Yakuza 6 is the ultimate iteration of the game's blend of gritty crime story, hyper-explosive combat, and all the vices and distractions those locales have to offer

The game looks flat out amazing. I didn't know it was possible to improve so much over Yakuza 0-5. I can get lost just switching to first person and exploring the world for hours. This may be the most impressive looking game I have ever played. I can't imagine games getting any better looking than this. I also LOVE the game's exp / abilities / stats system. You get EXP in 5 categories. I can't remember what they actually are offhand, but based on the icons I think they are Power, Speed, Stamina, Knowledge, and Luck maybe. You gain differnt types of EXP in these different categories for everything you do, and there are endless things to do. Fighting, weight lifting, eating/drinking, quirky side quests, Singing Karaoke, playing games, every little nook and crannie has something random to do and everything gives you some kind of EXP. You can then spend that EXP on a WIDE variety of different stat boosts, abilities, and upgrades. Anything from HP up, to new brutal moves to use in battle, to the ability to hold your alcohol and get drunk less easily, to increased luck finding money in encounters. Its incredibly immersive. Story wise, its as good as usual for a Yakuza game. There was one section where you had to constantly comfort a crying baby every few steps while you panic to find Milk at night when all stores are closed, which was as annoying as it sounds, but otherwise everything has been fun and interesting.

The Yakuza series is like no other. A gta clone set in Japan barely describes it. The games focus on hand to hand combat, story, and leisure activities in between. It has a weird style that can only be made in Japan. While it is not a true open world title, it makes up for it with many different activities you can do in the city such as visit an arcade and play full classic sega games. If you can't tolerate subtitles then that's you problem. The whole game is in Japanese. The only drawbacks for me are weapon degredation and inability to remove the glowing effects when you're fighting... as far as I know. Buy all the games in the series while you can. Prints tend to be limited.

This is the only Yakuza game I've beaten. I've started and failed to finish 1, 3, 4, and 5. The animations and just the weight and feel of the fighting engine are greatly improved. The sidestories are all voiced and there are fewer of the throwaway sidestories which littered the other games. There are fewer of them but none of them felt insignificant. The graphics are greatly improved over the other games. The story was great with only one or two deus ex machinas. The cast was top notch with so many likeable characters. The villains were great as well.

My first Yakuza game, and I am blown away. The character models look great and the environment the game takes place in is beautiful and vibrant. Says PS4 Pro enhanced, but it's a little misleading because the game isn't HDR capable or 4K. Apparently on the original PS4, the game actually runs at 900p and on the Pro 1080p. Little disappointing to not utilize the power of the PS4 pro(this game came out in 2016 in Japan) to really show how beautiful this game can be,. Combat is solid and plenty of things to do!

This is my third Yakuza game after 0 and Kiwami, and while I miss Majima, I love the new crew Kiryu is running with. The series maintains its wacky and dramatic tone, while adding in a manageable skill tree, a nice new environment that feels like an extension of Kamurocho , and lots to do. I completely missed two MASSIVE 'mini games' in my playthrough, so I wish there were a little more guidance and finesse in the map, but overall I loved it. Worth a look if you are a fan of the series, or looking to dive in.

Awesome game! Been a fan since original Yakuza release on PS2. I love the game play and the story so far is epic (as always). This game is worth buying, especially for a true Yakuza game fan. So many twists and turns. And the sub missions, entertainment, and food/drink are very enjoyable. So much to do and see. Yakuza 6 (as well as all previous titles before it) is a game you should def take ur time playing... I'm going to miss not playing another Yakuza with Kiryu as the main.

If you've been following the Yakuza series, you know that this game is all about Kiryu's personal story that becomes involved with the underground dealing of the Japanese mafia. The final part of his journey is pretty well made, with a whole new engine for the game to boot. A gripping story, a plethora of side stories, and loads of charm make this game a pretty great package.

Yakuza 6 has beautiful graphics, awesome fight combo system and great storyline, including sub stories and mini missions. The controls are easy to use and gameplay is in 3rd person but can toggle to 1st person view. This game is definitely one of the best ps4 titles and series out there. The art book is a nice bonus. I recommend giving this game a try as it is entertaining and immersive.
