This is a great Donkey Kong Country alternative
|Posted .Owned for 7 months when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendThe fun thing is, you can try to take on the Impossible Lair as many times as you like and each time you die, the game leaves a little marker indicating how far you got. My skills were most definitely not up to the challenge of beating the Impossible Lair without the Beetallion, but I sure had fun trying. I genuinely had a blast with Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair and you will too if you have any love for the genre at all. The game was pure fun.

Tough 2D platformer but one of the best
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendI wasn't sure what to expect with this one going into it but I was very surprised at how almost every bit of it was well executed. Levels were challenging but fun, music was phenomenal, and exploring the over world was pretty good too. I wouldn't recommend this to people not up for a bit of a challenge, especially the last level, but if you're up for the challenge, you will be rewarded with good music and a fun time

Donkey Kong Country Realness
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendIf the original Yooka-Laylee was an homage to Banjo-Kazooie, this goes ever further back to Donkey Kong Country for snes. The visuals are great, colorful and full of little details and the music, oh the music is so good! I'm not giving 5 stars just because it can be really hard, as it should being a retro platformer, and it's not a game to casually play. You need to invest at least a weekend to sharp up your skills in order to beat it. For the price, I would call this a must buy for this season and a great gift for your contemporary gamers or your "true gamer" uncle.

Fun 3D platformer game
|Posted .Owned for 2 months when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendI wasn't a big fan of the first Yooka Laylee game, but the potential was there. The new game, in my opinion is much better and plays really well. I have always been a fan of Mario type games and this one makes good use of the tried and true formula.

Way better than the first game
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendWay better than the first game Plus the game play Seems a lot easier to get used to right away. This is a great game or love letter to banjo kazooie.
