It feels like you're typing on a real full sized keyboard. The one thing to be aware of is the weight it will add to your iPad. For something this durable that is definitely a trade off.

- A:Answer It is magnetically held in place for easy removal. The screen and key board open like a book. This will loosen after a little use, so don't worry about it breaking.

- A:Answer No pen included. Those alone cost about $99. You control the Bluetooth through your iPad, but none needed elsewhere. The keyboard is fine. I’m sure you could get a fancier one, but not necessary for my use. Works great for everyday use and all I need.
