Q: Can this be operated manually, as well as with the app?
A: Yes. You can set the time and temperature from the unit itself or by the app.
Q: Does one need to buy a sealer for the bags? Are the bags bpe free?
A: No, you do not need a vacuum sealer, you can put your food in a ziploc bag, don't seal the bag yet, then slowly put the bag into the water (opening end up) then the air will evacuate the bag. Seal the bag once the water level is at the zipper.
A: I recommend the smallest pot needed for what you are cooking and the precision cooker to fit. I have used with a big pot to cook a turkey. Hope that helps.
A: The back of the box says 32F to 192F.
Q: Does it measure only in F ° or in Celsius too?
A: Yes you can; per the Anova Website: Change to fahrenheit or celsius • Press and hold the Current Temperature button for 3 seconds This the thermometer icon the top of the display
Q: Does it come with the container for the water bath like the one at Costco does?
A: You have to purchase that separately. I ordered my Anova container as well as a smaller generic one from Amazon. I purchased the Anova it’s self from Best Buy.
Q: Is it dual voltage will it work in Europe
A: No, the one I purchased in the US is not dual voltage.
