Q: What do I need cellular for?
A: for connection to the internet where there isn't wifi available.
Q: what is the difference between locked and unlocked? what does LOCKED mean?
A: Locked means it's the service is tied to a particular cell service such as AT&T, Verizon, etc. Unlocked means you can use any GSM enabled carrier such as AT&T and TMobile using a SIM card.

Q: I need to buy a case for this iPad mini. What generation is this? 6th?
A: Yes. It also has a perfect mfg case that uses magnate. Slim case is great.
Q: Do I have to have data plan?
A: If you activate it to use through a carrier, yes, you will need to have data plan for it. If you don't have it activated with a carrier, you can just use it like a Wi-Fi only model and won't need a data plan.
A: No it’s not. There’s no phone app. The only contacts will be thru messages, FaceTime or Google voice with the cell data version.

A: Yes it does, as long as you have a activated data sim or connected to wifi, it will work. I use it for the maps and some gps based games all the time.

Awesome iPad for the money
Really great iPad not to big or small the display is very colorful I have been buying this for years great product and very good price don’t get it any where else but Best Buy and they will last forever I have bought 5 from Best Buy for my family doesn’t get any better

Just what I needed
I decided to change from an Air 4 over to a mini so I could have a more comfortable reading experience. So far it’s been perfect! The battery life is impressive and will last for days when used sparingly. I’m super happy I made the decision to go for it.

iPad Mini - A great tablet for kids overall with size and speed. Also great for travel... can't beat the size. Price could dip a bit but thats life
