Q: Can I use my current cellular carrier for this mini iPad?
A: This will depend. If you mean you have a cellular plan with a carrier on a current iPad, transfer should be easy. If it is on a cellphone, and you want to use it on the iPad, that will be different. In the second example (cellphone plan to iPad plan) it's best you ask your carrier about the steps.
Q: Does the new ipad mini with cellular have the gps mapping function
A: Yes, all cellular versions of every iPad in apples line up has a GPS antenna. Again, ONLY the cellular versions have this antenna. The wifi versions DO NOT have any sort of GPS antenna.

Tiny powerhouse, wish it had Face ID (A17 Pro)
The iPad mini with the A17 Pro chip is a pocket-sized powerhouse. It’s incredibly fast, beautifully portable, and the Wi-Fi + Cellular model keeps you connected wherever you go. With 128GB of storage, there’s plenty of room for creative tools, documents, and entertainment. The Space Gray finish adds a touch of understated class. That said, I wish it featured Face ID. While Touch ID is solid, face unlocking would’ve elevated the experience to match its premium feel. Still, it’s a stellar tablet that punches far above its weight.

iPad mini A17
I have not had this APPLE with A17 pro chip, very long. I have liked it, but a problem with viewing writing spaces on several apps. I will only see a bit of the bottom of the letters, and in some cases I cannot see or go up to where I started writing. I will contact APPLE. I am also not so thrilled with the placement of the volume and the on/off/unlock button. Plus, if you need to take an screenshot it is hard to push the volume button and the turn on/off/unlock button at the same time. A bit awkward. Otherwise, very happy with its performance, speed, and new features. It has more storage, as standard than my last one. It also has better graphics, I can easily do more projects at one time, and the battery lasting way longer than my last iPad mini. Overall, I am pleased with this latest iPad mini.

New and Improved
The mini IPad with the Pro Chip is the latest and greatest! I bought the mini IPad because it fits in my purse which is convenient for me to use on the go. I don’t have to have an additional bag to carry it around in. The pro pencil works great with this IPad. New and improved features and programs with this model.
