In Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key, lead writer Yashichiro Takahashi, who delivered the script for the original Atelier Ryza game, returns to the franchise to deliver an unforgettable third chapter in the Secret series. The latest summer escapade finds Ryza and friends enjoying their peaceful lives on Kurken Island when they hear news that a mysterious group of islands have appeared in nearby waters. It turns out that these islands, known as Kark Isles, are having a negative effect on their homeland, so Ryza and her friends quickly set out to investigate. But when their investigation leads to an enormous gate deep within strange ruins, Ryza hears a haunting voice in her head that wants to lead her to the ‘Code of the Universe’. Who is talking to her and what lies beyond the gate? While uncovering the mysteries of Kark Isles, Ryza and her friends will explore four regions in a new “open field” – all explorable with seamless transitions! As players travel through these beautiful and vast sprawling landscapes and vistas, they will find mysterious keys that will aid them on their adventure. There are various types of keys that can be found and created, useful for exploration, synthesis and battle. The game improves on the series well enough
I was surprised by how much the battle mechanics have changed for this game, but thankfully, the game offers a good tutorial at the beginning, and once you get the hang of things, it all becomes pretty intuitive. Though, I very much still preferred the mechanics of the prior games. The graphics are beautiful, the voices sound flawless, the game is long so get ready to play this one for a while, and each character is his or her own person; meaning that no character feels like a copy of another. Loading times... they aren't too bad, but on a Switch 2 it loads a bit faster. I can recommend this one with little hesitation.

More of the same in the best way
I'm not that far into the game yet because of other commitments, but it is fun. I wouldn't recommend jumping into this one over the first two, but if you enjoyed those this is a must buy. It is more and better imo compared to the other games. The battle tweaks make it feel more fluid and I just love these characters so it is recommended. However, if you are not a Atelier person I don't think this would be your thing.

Ryza is probably my favorite character in the Atelier series. I didn’t think Ryza 3 could get any better than the other games but somehow it did. If you want a game with a heartfelt story, cozy vibes, some combat, and cute visuals, then this is the game for you. I just wish that the Nintendo Switch looked a little better when it came to graphics.
