  • Key Specs
    • Drive Type: Belt drive
    • Operation Type: Automatic (Automatic turntables move the tonearm into position to begin playing a record and remove it when the record is finished, typically with a single push of a button. Semi-automatic turntables require user interaction to place the tonearm inititally, but will automatically remove it after playback. Manual turntables require the user to place and remove the tonearm as needed.)
    • Integrated Preamp: true (An audio component that amplifies the turntable's audio signal to a level compatible for connection to a sound system.)
    • Cartridge Type Included: Not included (Phono cartridges translate the grooves in a record into electrical signals to produce sound. There are two main types: moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC). Generally, MM cartridges have a robust design and high output levels. MC cartridges have an inverse design of MM that is lightweight and more precise, but usually require a preamp to boost their lower output signals.)
    • Audio Only Outputs: 1 x Phono
    • Network Connector(s): No network connectors

Component turntables consist of the main turntable (may require separate purchase of cartridge) and require external connections before use. DJ turntables are digital devices with special features and sound effects intended for professional use.)

    • Turntable Motor Type: AC
    • Wow and Flutter: 0.25 percent (Measures "frequency wobble" or the level of distortion caused by speed fluctuations typically measured at kHz. The lower the percentage, the better the player's ability to sustain proper pitch and avoid distortion.)
    • Speed Variation: 33.3rpm, 45rpm (The variance in platter revolutions per minute (RPM), typically asserted as +/- RPM. The smaller the variation in speed, the cleaner the sound and the fewer noticeable differences in pitch.)

Q: Can i go for a run with this in hand??

A: I wouldn't recommend it. If you trip and fall, you will scratch your vinyl.

Q: Does it have its own speaker? Like will it play the music without being connected to an external source?

A: It does not have its own speaker. At this time all of our turntables have to be connected to an external speaker in some way. The simplest and most cost-effective way to use the AT-LP60-BT Wireless turntable is to pair it to a Bluetooth speaker or Bluetooth headphone, or to hard-wire it to a pair of self-powered (aka active) speakers or headphone amplifier and headphones.

Q: Can this player be used to create digital versions of your vinyl on a computer hard drive?

A: Yes, by using the 3.5 mm stereo Analog Out jack on the rear of the turntable, it is possible to connect the turntable to the LINE IN jack on a computer. Note that the audio cable provided with the turntable is a 3.5 mm male stereo to dual RCA male type cable. You will need either an adapter cable, the dual RCA female to 3.5 mm male stereo type, or a different cable all together - the 3.5 mm male stereo to 3.5 mm male stereo type, to connect the turntable to the computers LINE IN jack. Make certain that you set the preamp selector switch located on the rear of the turntable to the LINE position and select the LINE IN jack on the computer as the input device.

Q: Do you need a receiver for the music to play or can you just plug the record player into the amplifier and play the music?

A: If you already own passive type speakers, you will need to install a stereo receiver or amplifier between the turntable and the speakers. Receivers and Amplifier have a POWER amplifier inside to amplify connected sources, such as a turntable, up to a level that can adequately drive the speakers. Another option would be to use POWERED (aka active) type speakers. Powered speakers have their own power amplifier built into them so there is no need for a separate stereo receiver or amplifier. Due to the inclusion of a phono preamplifier in the turntable, the turntable may be connected to devices that either do or do not have a dedicated PHONO input for a turntable. A phono preamplifier raises the phono level signal from a turntable (which is very weak) to a stronger line level signal (such as that which you get from a CD Player) so it can drive the preamplifier section of a receiver, amplifier or powered speaker, then the preamplifier drives the power amplifier. Its all about gain staging so that, in the end, you have a good signal to noise ratio. A phono preamplifier also applies the RIAA equalization curve which is required for the playback of records.

Q: Does this model contain a built-in preamp?

A: It does and the preamp can be switched off.

Q: Does this require a receiver or anything? Or can you just plug it in and connect to a bluetooth speaker?

A: You can just plug it into power and pair it to a Bluetooth speaker. There is also a wired connection that permits the turntable to be connected to a powered speaker that may not feature Bluetooth.

Q: do you need a preamp in order to increase the voltage to feed my onkyo av receiver?

A: No. This turntable has both phono and line output.
