Answered by AudioTechnicaAccording to the Best Buy website, the speakers provided in this bundle are powered (aka active) type speakers, you will not need a separate amplifier because powered type speakers have the amplifier built into them. Set the preamp selector switch on the back of the turntable to the LINE position to use the turntable with these speakers.
