A: What is an ATN95SE? The ATN95EX Replacement Stylus does fit the AT95E Cartridge. This is the same stylus as the ATN95E Stylus with the exception of the type of material used in the construction of the radial damper which supports the stylus cantilever. This material enables the ATN95EX stylus to have extended high frequency response and faster transient response compared to the ATN95E Stylus. The improvement over the ATN95E Stylus is subtle.
A: For a quality stylus only, there is the DSN-85E Stylus available from lpgear.com. The DSN-85E is a high-quality stylus featuring an elliptical shaped diamond tip mounted to a carbon fiber cantilever. The ATN95 or ATN95EX replacement styli ARE NOT compatible with the stock Denon cartridge, only our ATN3600L replacement stylus is. If you are interested in replacing the entire cartridge complete with stylus assembly, consider our AT-VM95E Cartridge. The AT-VM95E is a high-quality cartridge featuring an elliptical shaped diamond stylus mounted to an aluminum tube cantilever.
Q: looking for a cartridge for my Yamaha P-520 turntable. will this one work?
A: It will not. If you are using the supplied Yamaha headshell for standard half-inch mount type cartridges, I recommend our AT-VM95C Cartridge. If you are using the supplied Yamaha headshell for P-mount (aka Plug-in or T4P) cartridges, I recommend our AT81CP Cartridge.
