Q: Can these be used in a basement’s drop ceiling, or do they have to be used with sheet rock?
A: We've used them in drop ceilings. Depending on the thickness and quality of the tiles, you might need to reinforce the back of the tile to prevent sagging over time.
Q: Can the driver/dome be angled/pivot to point at main listening position??
A: The tweeter can be angled towards a listening position.
Q: Are these speakers directional?
A: No. The tweeters in these speakers are not directional. They are downward firing.

Phenomenal sound for an in ceiling
I upgraded our 6.5 Monitor Audio MMP -2, in ceiling speakers and it sounds amazing. Audiophile grade speakers that aren’t outrageously expensive. The install was simple with the type of dog ears that quickly adjust to the ceiling thickness then easy push of 3 Phillips head posts and a quick grill to finish it off.

Atmos with B&W
I went all B&W for my setup. I’m not disappointed. Music, movies, and well, everything sounds amazing.
