Q: Can i install these speakers in the ceiling or has to be in wall
A: Hello, the B&W Ci600 speakers can be installed in the ceiling. However, please note that they were acoustically designed to be installed in the wall. Bowers & Wilkins
A: Hello, These speakers mount about 5.2 inches into the wall. A standard stud bay should have enough space to accommodate them. As for the amp, we normally pair our speakers with Denon, Marantz, and Classe amps. We would advise against going too cheap on an amp as that will affect sound quality. Denon has a few options that are economical while still delivering quality sound.

B&W in walls
These really came alive with a good 200 watt amplifier. I’m using them as left and right surrounds. They sound like bookcase speakers and yet they’re hidden in the wall. I did put some insulation behind them which also tightened up the sound. I’m very pleased. The installation is super easy.

Can’t go wrong with BW Bower Wilkins speakers!
I love (BW) Bower Wilkins in wall speakers. Worth it to have clear crisp surround sound and product that lasts and lasts. Music is great, as well. Painted to match. 2nd pair purchased.

Great sound / great price
I purchased these speakers a week ago, very easy to install, mounting bracket design is awesome, no screws to have to drive in 2 or 3 inches to get it secured, just pull the 6 clamps, pop in the speakers and you are done. These work great with the B&W center channels I purchased as well. They sound great. You will be very happy with these for the price range. They aren't top of the line but you aren't paying top of the line prices either. I installed these in my living room (not theater room). I'm sure they would work well in either place but for my home, these are awesome and I'm very happy with them.
