Q: Before placing this CLI-42 ink order I became a Best Buy member, will I receive reward points? I do not want compatible ink, I guess this is real Canon ink merchandise?

A: This is the correct INK. You do get points.Don't use compatible ink.

A: No, any product look up will tell you that you need CLI 65 cartridges for the Pixma Pro 200

Q: What is the shelf life on unopened Canon CLI 42 inks? And how long do they last once installed on the printer regardless of useage) I use my printer very little so it could sit for weeks in between jobs.

A: I've left the cartridges set unopened on the shelf for over 1 year. I've had them installed in the printer for over a year...BUT... when the cartridges are in the printer I turn it on every 4-6 weeks, let it cycle, then turn it off. This helps keep the ink in the nozzles from drying and clears them. Yes it uses a bit of ink, but that's cheaper than head repair or replacement.

Q: how does the amount of ink in each included cartridge compare with the cartridges bought individually?

A: New with printer 28g Refills 27g Based on what I've heard and info found online. Not much difference and NO, I don't know why unless Canon puts a touch extra in the new with printer carts to make up for the initial charge of the printer system.
