Canon EF-S 18–55mm f/3.5–5.6 IS II Standard Zoom Lens: Compact and light, this standard zoom lens is ideal for everyday shooting or traveling. With image stabilization to reduce motion blur, you can get stunning pictures without a tripod, even at slower shutter speeds.
Q: would this lens work good for weddings and in low light places like churches and firehalls?
A: Depends on how you are shooting, if you are doing handheld, there is a possibility of blurred images in the low light places. The lens is not capable of a very large aperture, meaning you will have to use a slower shutter speed that risks blurring your images. This could also mean using a higher ISO which will create noise in your pictures. If the wedding is outside with great lighting, I don't see why it would not work. Otherwise, if inside, make sure there is good lighting and test it out in the place before actually shooting for an event.
A: This is a standard lens for a Canon EOS camera. It should fit any model.

A: No. 6D Mark II is a full-frame camera. This lens fits APC-S cameras.
Q: Does the lens have Image Stabilization ?

Q: I have this same lens that came with my t3i. Is there any improvement with this more recent lens?
A: I upgraded from a Rebel T1i to a Rebel T7. The T1i finally gave way after 10 years. Both cameras had this lens as the standard accessory. However, I was able to use my old lens with the new camera to compare. I noticed quite a bit of an improvement in the auto focus. I can't speak what would change between the T3 and T7 but I would recommend reviewing the specs to see what has changed.
