My F-150 didn't come with an inverter so I installed a lighted GFCI where the cigarette lighter outlet was and moved that plug to power the inverter. The inverter fits under the cupholders behind the outlet and switches on and off with the truck. I can sometimes hear the fan running by only after I shut off the vehicle. When I open the door the power shuts off.

Quiet and efficient. Having the USB power port is a plus too. Nice compact design.

Decent quality converter that I’ve given low marks for two specific reasons. First off I tried to use a 230w Lenovo laptop power supply with the car running. When plugged in the fault like begins to blink red. This claims to be rated over 400w but didn’t come close. The second reason for low marks is because fresh out of the box there is a peculiar pungent odor of Ozone that will always come from the converter. It’s not a horrible smell but the next one I buy will be returned if it smells that way.

Very nice unit, well constructed easy to use. Luv having both power outlet and battery clamp wires, very versilative.

I bought this inverter to charge phones, computers and watch tv in the truck. It serves it's purpose well so far. I have it hardwired to the battery protected with an inline fuse. Works great so far.

This is a great thing to have if you need that household power

I haven't tried the alligator clips yet, but see no reason why they wouldn't work. Has powered auxiliary lights, my laptop and some small hand tools.
