Space constraints should never compromise great sound. The Uni-Fi 2.0 UB52 is the perfect solution when space is at a premium yet demand for audiophile sound is not negotiable. Using the same outstanding drivers and technology as the other models in the series ensures this compact, 3-way, bass-reflex monitor delivers a matched sonic signature.
A: Yes, but with more options. These speakers have 5-way binding posts, which means you can use bare wires, spades, or banana plugs to connect the speakers to your amp. If you used bare wires in the past, you can do so still.
Q: Recommendation for 2.1 amp? I know these are easier to drive than the first iteration.
A: These are fantastic speakers! I don't know what a 2.1 amp is but I have an 80 watt 2 channel 1990's vintage Sony ES integrated amp that easily drives these 6 ohm speakers. I've never gone over 1/3 volume and I've found these speakers surprisingly efficient and easy to drive. Though these speakers have decent bass, I use an SVS sub with them and am extremely happy with the set up.
Q: Can I place these speakers on the shelf immediately below my turntable?
A: You would get better sound overall by giving these speakers room on all sides. Putting any speakers too close to walls can make them sound boomy or muddy, and you may get unwanted reflections.
A: I have this amplifier and I use it for our backyard pool system. We have six ohms speakers on this amplifier. You have to change the impedance through a process. I believe you press the power button and put it in standby mode then you press and hold the enter button while you turn the power back on you will get a menu option to change it from eight ohm to six ohm. I did notice a slight drop in sound quality using six ohm speakers. We recently upgraded to a Marantz which is ridiculously far better a receiver and the app that goes with it works where as the Pioneer elite app for this VSX33 no longer works on the current iOS version.
