Liftoff with the EHX Spruce Goose Overdrive, an elevated take on a Bluesbreaker®-style OD with a smooth, rich breakup that retains clarity and dynamics. The Spruce Goose soars with a host of new features including a LIFT switch accessing 3 input gain settings, additional input, and expanded EQ to send your tone flying! From meaty boost to smooth singing leads, the Spruce Goose steers your tone into a variety of inspiring and musical directions. The engine of the Spruce Goose is an overdrive circuit renowned for its natural breakup and amp-like response. This circuit is then elevated to new heights by the LIFT switch which selects between 3 levels of input gain. LIFT effectively works as an input boost, goosing the front end of the drive circuit hitting harder and producing more compressed, saturated tone while still retaining its dynamic feel and transparent tone. GAIN and VOL knobs adjust for exact drive and output levels. EQ of the pdeal consists of a TREBLE knob for taming topping and an active BASS knob to cut or boost bass frequencies. BASS is especially helpful for adding girth to single coil guitars or tightening the low end on warmer humbucker guitars. The Spruce Goose also features mechanical relay true bypass switching with latching and momentary action. Tap the footswitch for a normal latching toogle or press and hold the footswitch for a momentary blast of gain and boost! Celebrating the classic, shimmering flanger sounds of Andy Summers, the EHX Walking on the Moon is a tribute to the tones Andy employed while carving his niche in the early days of playing with the Police. Liquid flange effects that hint toward chorus with extra depth and nuance make Andy’s sound one of the most coveted in all of the guitar universe. “This beautiful shimmering which sort of made the sound more bigger and more glamorous… became a sort of characteristic of my guitar sound… A big part of my guitar sound at that time in The Police was the flange sound which we have here today in this great new pedal.” – Andy Summers. The Andy Summers Walking on the Moon is an analog flanger with a simple but powerful control set of RATE, RANGE, and COLOR. RATE sets the speed of modulation, ranging from slow, smooth filter sweeps to jittering vibrato. RANGE controls how narrow or wide the effect sweeps into the bass frequency range. The COLOR control affects the intensity of the flanger effect from subtle chorusing effects to classic jet woosh sounds. These three controls interact to create a wide breadth of modulation effects. Additionally, the Walking on the Moon includes a FILTER MATRIX which disengages the LFO from the flanger circuit, freezing the flanger to give a fixed filter effect, adding chime or metallic overtones without the movement of traditional modulation. A DRY output allows splitting the dry signal from the effected signal.
