Good but limited
Good but limited. Let me preface this before we get started. I'm a home theater geek and have high expectations. So lets get started Setup - this projector setup was SO easy. basically take out of box, point it at the screen, plug it in, sync the remote(instructions on the screen on initial startup), setup Google access(uses phone app to sync account). And that's it. The projector has a quick auto keystone. I had to do a security update after. This was a 713MB download and required restart of the unit. Easy peasy. So lets talk about the picture. This is a lamp based projector and has good brightness. Manual states 2700ANSI lumens. It holds up pretty good to that statement. At about 14' away from screen I was able to zoom out to about 120" give or take onto my 133" screen(see pics) Using the built in Android TV - i used Netflix and Amazon Prime to test of streaming. This is a 1080P projo and works well for these applications. Picture was bright, and crisp. Although, it loses edges during fast motion causing a blurring effect. Most would only notice during a fast action scene. Blacks were decent. There is not option for picture adjustment from a color aspect that I could find. Nor a scene setting. This unit only has keystone to adjust the alignment of the picture on the screen. So it was a little frustrating for me to ahve to angle the projo down then use the horizontal/vertical keystone to try and align. There is not test pattern for alignment either. So it is a eyeball at best. This unit is also limited by only 1 HDMI input and no cable routing. You have to take off the back mesh that then exposes the inputs and single Mono-speaker. if you use the HDMI you can NOT put the mesh cover back on. As for the speaker, its loud enough for personal viewing if you are nearby the projector. Whats with the 2 remotes? This was my first thought during the unboxing. Why? Well I found that there appears to be a USB device that provides the AndroidTV service - thus limiting the use to 1 HDMI input! So I guess its 1 remote for the projo, and then another for the AndroidTV device. Weird. Thought I might use this unit for portable viewing - outdoor, sports. But having to remove panels to hook up pc/dvd makes its a bit cumbersome. Setup - easy and direct, no options Usage - AndroidTV works well and you a ton of apps for content Portability - good projector to move around with. not large and weighs about 6lbs Great if you want to setup for the big game and have a nice bright picture. Quick easy setup. No fuss or need to configure anything - basically plug and watch! I would look at other options if you want a more permanent setup or want a laser setup. For my needs of a portable projector, I think there are better options from Epson. For simple at big picture experience, this does the job with limitations. Will probably set this one up for the kids video games

Excellent projector/picture, some sound issues
I got this projector to replace an older one I have mounted to the ceiling in my theater room figuring new technology must deliver a better picture these days. And that turned out to be absolutely true, the picture from this projector is outstanding. Very bright, vivid, and crystal clear. The attached photo was taken during the day in a brightly lit room with overhead lights on, and one can see the excellent picture quality. But for my theater room setup with a ceiling mount it was far from ‘plug and play’. I was not able to just remove the old projector, connect the new projector to the ceiling mount, plug in the cables and fire it up. Oh no. Turns out the distance of the ceiling mount was too far back from the projector screen so the projector's throw was bleeding the picture quite a ways outside of the screen. I minimized the picture as much as possible using the slider on the projector but it was still throwing out a much larger projected image than my screen is (120 inches). So rather than relocating my existing projector mount which involves redrilling holes, moving cables, patching existing holes, etc., I decided to just buy a new ceiling mount (white, to match the projector color). If you’ve never done it before, mounting a projector on the ceiling is a whole thing. Lots of measuring making sure everything is right, finding the studs to drill into for a secure mount, not to mention running/hiding the cables, then dialing in the projected image on to your screen to make sure its all good. So after several hours getting it all dialed in, it is absolutely awesome. In the attached picture you can see that there is still some picture bleeding outside of my screen and frame, so I ended up having to add an additional boarder around the frame with black velvet to soak up the overflow. It was either that or re-mount the ceiling mount on the next joist 16 inches closer, pick your poison. Anyway, back to the projector. The fan is fairly quiet, comparable to my previous projectors, and the projector speakers are pretty good although I have no reason to use them since I'm connected to a surround sound system. Which brings me to my only complaint: when the projector is set to Android TV functions for the life of me I cannot get sound output from my Marantz stereo receiver and speakers. If I’m connected via HDMI and Xfinity TV, my stereo sound is great from the receiver/speakers. From researching it seems I can only use the projector's audio-out port to connect to my stereo which would require a 50 ft cable and tearing up drywall to run the cable, or to connect via Bluetooth to a Bluetooth speaker system which I do not want to do in my theater room since my receiver and speakers rock. For this reason I’m knocking off one star. So at the end of the day, Android functions are not useable in my setup, but for everything else it is exceptional.

Excellent for Home Theaters
My experience with Epson brand products (printers, dedicated scanners, & other projectors) is that they are reliable and of great value. One of their printer models I owned (Artisan) lasted me over six years. This Epson Home Cinema works perfectly for any home theater. It is incredible how quick and easy it is to hook up and set up; it is lightweight and easy to mount and move around. My family and I enjoy movies/shows from streaming services and DVDs. The projector box includes two different remote controls with their batteries, a power cable, and an installation manual. Note that it does not have any HDMI cables. Projecting to a dedicated screen, I was amazed at how it produces a clear, detailed image with beautiful colors and great contrast. My home theater setup gets completely dark, and when I turn on some ambient light lamps, the projector still does a pretty good job. If the room setup is very lite, images could get somewhat washed out. The unit has plenty of ventilation to keep it cool, and the cooling fan does not make a loud noise. The speaker in the projector is weak, so not designed for home theater and must use a separate sound system. The full HD 1080P 3LC on the projector makes this quite an impressive unit. I have used it for a couple of weeks now, and so far, no issues whatsoever. The adjustment slider for zooming works smoothly and make adjustment very easy to fit the projected image on a screen. The best feature about this projector is that it has an Android TV included; there are plenty of Apps to use for entertainment. This unit is an excellent option for anyone who wants a projector with great image quality, fantastic dynamic range, incredible color saturation, and bright and vibrant light projects.
