Where are the solar panels located
Answered by Eufy TeamFor the eufyCam S3 Pro, the solar panel is built into the top/back of the camera body (the black strip you see above the lens). It's a fixed, integrated panel that charges the battery directly. For the SoloCam S340, the solar panel is also integrated onto the top of the camera (the flat dark surface), providing continuous charging when exposed to sunlight. Both are permanently attached — no separate solar panel to mount elsewhere. Just position the cameras to get direct sunlight during the day.
Is the home base included? It's shown in the photos but not in description

Even though it may not be explicitly listed in the short description, a HomeBase is required for this system to function, and it is included in the box with your 4 eufyCam S3 Pro cameras and the SoloCam S340. Can these cameras be plugged in to outlet? Or do they have to run on solar?
Answered by Eufy TeamNo, they do not have to run on solar, but the options differ for each camera in the kit: eufyCam S3 Pro (included in kit): Yes, it can be plugged in. An optional Continuous Power Cable (sold separately) replaces the internal battery and allows the camera to run on a standard outdoor outlet 24/7. SoloCam S340 (included in kit): No, it cannot be plugged in permanently. It runs on its internal battery, which is charged by the built-in solar panel or via a USB-C cable for manual recharging. It is not designed for weatherproof continuous wired power. Summary: The kit is primarily designed for solar/wire-free operation. If you need a camera that never relies on solar, only the S3 Pro supports that setup (with an extra accessory). The S340 must use solar or occasional USB-C recharging.
Do you need a monthly subscription with these cameras?
